  • S2E1a Your Shoe's Untied

Join Stelly and Gavin as they discuss the first segment of season two, Your Shoe's Untied. When Patrick announces that he doesn't know how to tie his shoelaces, SpongeBob is initially confident until he realizes he has not idea either. Elsewhere, Stelly remembers her short-lived crime-fighting gang, Gavin remembers when he used to understand FIFA games, and generally there's far too much talk of Arjen Robben

  • S1E20b Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy II

Join Stelly and Gavin as they discuss the final segment of season one, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy II. A competition win gives SpongeBob an opportunity to meet his heroes -- Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy -- whenever his heart desires. SpongeBob, of course, takes advantage of this situation. Elsewhere, isolation and social distancing is working better for Stelly who is enjoying her new routine, while Gav appreciated his house smelling of bacon. We finish with a mini-recap of season one.

  • S1E20a Hooky

Join Stelly and Gavin as they discuss the first segment of the twentieth episode, Hooky. We celebrate our fortieth show and our one-year anniversary with a much-improved episode. SpongeBob is lead astray by Patrick and bunks off from work to play with all the hooks that have suddenly appeared, unaware of the consequences of getting snagged. Elsewhere, an early Stelly rap sets the mood for the episode and, after only four days working at home, Gavin is starting to lose his mind.

  • S1E19b Neptune's Spatula

Join Stelly and Gavin as they discuss the second segment of the nineteenth episode, Neptune's Spatula. Not the best episode we've ever watched. With a tip of the hat to King Arthur, SpongeBob is able to retrieve the Golden Spatula from the Greasy Griddle at the Fry Cook's Museum, resurrecting King Neptune who challenges SpongeBob to a cook off. Elsewhere, the coronavirus has brought Girl Scout Cookie season to a premature end, forced Stelly to hurriedly get the contents of her locker home, and means Gavin will be working from home for the foreseeable. Stay well, folks. Look after each other.

  • S1E19a Fools in April

Join Stelly and Gavin as they discuss the first segment of the nineteenth episode, Fools in April. It's April Fools Day! It's SpongeBob's (reportedly) favorite day of the year, but when an agitated Squidward decides to retaliate, he's forced to take an action that does not sit comfortably with him. Elsewhere, Stelly is deep in Girl Scout Cookie season, so Gav's responsibility for note-taking is more than he was either comfortable with or prepared for.

  • S1E18b Walking Small

Join Stelly and Gavin as they discuss the second segment of the eighteenth episode, Walking Small. It's another Plankton episode. In this one, for reasons never fully explained, Plankton wants to build his new restaurant on the beach and enlists SpongeBob to move people on by teaching him to be assertive and aggressive. Elsewhere, Gavin learns of a live action episode and, after around five minutes of explaining, finally understands what Stelly is trying to tell him.

  • S1E18a Texas

Join Stelly and Gavin as they discuss the first segment of the eighteenth episode, Texas. Sandy Cheeks is starting to feel homesick for her native Texas and makes plans to leave Bikini Bottom, much to the shock of SpongeBob and Patrick. Elsewhere, hot on the heels of the Free Shavacadoo Scandal of last week, Stelly decides to introduce ASMR to the podcast while Gavin is left to reflect on a very good night at trivia thanks to the capital of Brazil.

  • S1E17b Rock Bottom

Join Stelly and Gavin as they discuss the second segment of the seventeenth episode, Rock Bottom, many people's favorite. A wrong bus from Glove World™ takes Patrick and SpongeBob to a scary part of the ocean where people look and sound different. Elsewhere, The Little Mermaid musical is in the past allowing Stelly to turn her attention to shaming Gavin for all the Vine references he doesn't get because he's not eleven. Free Shavacadoo, indeed.

  • S1E17a Arrgh!

Join Stelly and Gavin as they discuss the first segment of the seventeenth episode, Arrgh! Following an extensive session of a treasure-based board game play, Mr Krabs gets his claws on a boat and sets out with SpongeBob and Patrick to find some real booty. Elsewhere, The Little Mermaid musical is finally here and Stelly speaks extensively, and without anger, about the casting process and some alleged eighth grade bias, while Gavin is briefly allowed to express his pleasure at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl success.

  • S1E16b The Paper

Join Stelly and Gavin as they discuss the second segment of the sixteenth episode, The Paper. This is an episode that twice refuses to go down the expected path. Squidward discards a piece of paper that SpongeBob covets and this goes in directions that we did not envisage from the episode title. Elsewhere, Stelly proves she knows the history of Diego Maradona, tells a long story about an icy puddle, begins baking Hogmanay-class shortbread, while Gavin enjoys also thinking about a puddle in his Scottish primary school in the 1980s. Poor John Gillespie. Stelly also manages to describe Agile and Brexit without realizing she's doing so.
