‘Tis the season for merriment and caroling, and what better way to celebrate that than with a movie about an unnerving creep terrorizing a group of young women? Oh well, that’s how we’re celebrating this time on Spook!, as Joe and Nicole debate what makes a movie a Christmas movie and discuss the many blunders of the law enforcement in this film. Enjoy!

  • Episode 82: Woman of the Hour (2024)

We here at Spook! would like to congratulate Anna Kendrick for becoming a triple threat by showing she can not only act and sing, but also direct an unsettling movie about an unsettling creep. Woman of the Hour is based on an episode of the popular 70s game show The Dating Game, where the eponymous contestant unknowingly confronts one of America’s most prolific serial killers. Joe and Nicole discuss the facts behind the film and why they probably wouldn’t watch The Dating Game were it on today.

  • Episode 80: Krampus (2015)

Happy Krampus Night! Yes, it’s that time of year when, if you’re listening to this when it comes out, Krampus himself visits the naughty children of Austria and beats them with reeds. How festive! And Joe and Nicole celebrate this time-honored tradition by watching Michael Dougherty’s holiday horror film, Krampus, a combination of Christmas Vacation and Jeepers Creepers, if you will. Gather around the Krampus tree and sing your Krampus songs, we’re just starting to get in the holiday spirit!
