Death certificates were issued quickly, however no remains were ever found in the ash. Hello Spooky Kooks, this week explore the chilling story of the West Memphis three - Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jesse MissKelley Jr., three teenagers convicted in 1994 for the brutal murders of three 8 year old boys, Stevie Branch, Michael Moore and Christopher Byers, in West Memphis Arkansas. This video dives deep into the controversial case, the role of satanic panic, coerced confessions, the trial by media and the decades long fight for justice that led to their release. What factors led to this miscarriage of justice, was it a rush to solve the case, or multiple systematic legal failures. Legally, the case is closed and Damien, Jason and Jesse are all guilty of the crime, but many believe these three are not the culprits, we go over the other alleged possibilities to see what potentially could have happened.
