She is 15 years old and passionate about the ocean. She has recently been selected to represent the KZN JNR lifesaving team for interprovincial in Cape Town in August.Over and above that she completed the Robben Island Swim in April. This is a 7.5km swim from Robben Island to mainland Cape Town. The sea temp was 11 degrees. She completed the swim in 2hours 12mins.The reason why I am sharing this swim is she did not only do this swim for herself. She teamed up with Two Ocean Aquarium Foundation to help raise funds for the rehabilitation of turtles. She is on a mission to raise 50k and we are halfway there.She has been interviewed by various radio stations and had newspaper articles done by our local paper.

Tegan Phillips loves to cycle, so much so that she uses her love of cycling to empower other women and uplift women in poorer communities. Her love of cycling is taking her on an adventure that will set a world record and see the South African flag fly high. Tegan plans to become the fastest woman to cycle from Cairo to Cape Town. Tegan started her love of cycling most comically; she entered a competition by submitting a comic and won an adventure bicycle. The win was such a life-changing one that she used the bike to cycle through Spain and drew cartoons about her experience.

At the 2022 Sappi Karkloof Classic Trail Festival, King Price Xtreme cyclist Philip Buys claimed his first national title win in 3h 42min – riding a Pyga MoBu frame, the first full carbon mountain bike ever produced in South Africa.Over and above this win under his belt, Philip has represented SA at the South Africa at the Olympic Games in 2012 and the Commonwealth Games in 2014, and plans to represent SA again at this year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
