My great friend and comedy partner Dan Betts in crime joins my to discuss what it's like to create a piece of content that "goes viral." Dan made a meme last summer that received hundreds of thousands of likes and was picked up by major content aggregator sites.
He came to speak with me while a comedy sketch of mine was on pace to do the same. However, as my video approached 10,000 shares and 500,000 views, Facebook took it down as a violation of Community Standards. Dan can relate, as out the millions of people who enjoyed his meme, most attributed the content to the aggregator sites instead of following my very talented friend.
But... silver lining - in this part one, my content hadn't been cancelled yet. So you won't be bored with any of that whining until I release part 2 of this episode, which, fair-warning, may never come. This is a tough business and you never know when you've just had enough. Til then, please enjoy this and always thank you for listening.
