The Pittsburgh Penguins are looking for a big turnaround heading into the trade deadline next month but they’re also looking to get right after another hard fought battle with the Islanders on Tuesday night which they did earn a point in but came up short in overtime with Adam Pelech sealing the Islanders win by a final score of (NYI 5-4 PIT).

The Montréal Canadiens come to Pittsburgh for a chance at redemption after losing the first two meetings between these two teams in December when they fought hard but came up short in a shootout (PIT 4-3 MON) in Montréal and then in January when they were defeated in overtime by the Penguins but still managed to earn a point (PIT 3-2 MON)

Now after so much time has passed its time for the third and final meeting between these two teams and Montréal is looking for redemption as they do so coming off a (BUF 3-2 MON) lost to the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday night in Montréal.

I guess you could say that is a lot more than redemption on the line for the Canadiens.

Will the Canadiens finally have an answer for the Penguins?

Will the Penguins wipe the floor with the Canadiens and sweep the season series?

The final two months of the season are coming and it’s time for both teams to put their foot on the gas pedal but at the end of this game only one team can come out on top.

So who’s it going to be? It's the Penguins VS the Canadiens coming up NEXT!

Last time these two teams met was at the end of December and the start of the of 2024 on (Sunday, December, 31st, 2023) where the Islanders lost to the Penguins again but this time by a final score of (PIT 3-1 NYI) as they avoided a repeat of their lost to the Penguins on (Wednesday, December, 27th, 2023) when they were shutout by the Penguins by a final score (PIT 7-0 NYI)

It's gonna be a fun time in Pittsburgh for the former Penguins forward Jaromir Jagr as his number 68 jersey is raised to the rafters of PPG Paints Arena on Sunday night as the Pittsburgh Penguins battle the Los Angeles Kings a team they beat at Crypto.com Arena in overtime by a final score of (PIT 4-3 LA) back in early November earlier this season.

Since then the Kings have only lost one game in the month of February with a (LA 4-0 EDM) victory over Connor McDavid before that (BUF 7-0 LA) loss to the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo on Tuesday night they would then beat the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night by a final score of (LA 2-1 NJD) leading up to their game before they play in Pittsburgh on Sunday but first they must do battle with the Boston Bruins. What will the final score of that game be? Who knows.

The Pittsburgh Penguins return home to play the Los Angeles Kings after losing 3 straight games with a (MIN 3-2 PIT) loss to Minnesota last Friday followed by a (WPG 2-1 PIT) loss to Winnipeg last Saturday in Winnipeg after they defeated the Jets on Tuesday night in Pittsburgh a few nights before they headed to Minnesota and after a (FLA 5-2 PIT) loss to the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night in Pittsburgh they travel to the windy city to defeat the Chicago Blackhawks by a final score of (PIT 4- 1 CHI) and even their season series with the Hawks.

Will the Kings get even with the Penguins when this game is done?

Will the Penguins sweep the season series with the Kings?

Last time these two teams met Montréal was able to get even with Minnesota after Minnesota became the first team in PWHL history to win their Home Opener when they shut out Montréal on Saturday, January, 6th, 2024 by a final score of (MIN 3-0 MON) and last time they met back on Wednesday, January, 24th, 2024 it was Montréal who got the win when they played again at the Excel Energy Centre in St. Paul Minneapolis Minnesota by defeating Minnesota by a final score of (MON 2-1 MIN)

Now here they are again going head-to-head after Montreal lost to Toronto in their historic game inside of Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto they call (Battle on Bay Street) where they lost to Toronto (TOR 3-0 MON) on Friday night.

Minnesota meanwhile is on the backend of a back-to-back following a game against Ottawa on Saturday afternoon in Ottawa and in the nation’s capital of Canada.

What was the final score in that game?

No one knows but what we do know is that whatever the outcome of that game was Minnesota has got to be ready for Montréal. It’s the 3rd head-to-head meeting between Minnesota and Montréal and it’s coming up next on PWHL Recap.

The Pittsburgh Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks began the 2023/2024 NHL regular season in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, October, 10th, 2023 the day we dropped the puck on the start of the regular season and the Penguins opened up their season with a big (PIT 4-2 CHI) victory over the Blackhawks and rookie first overall draft pick Connor Bedard.

Since then the Penguins have been a little bit of hot and cold throughout their first 50 games this season including two losses just before Valentine’s Day and Ash Wednesday in Pittsburgh when they faced the Florida Panthers for the final time this season.

The Chicago Blackhawks lost their opening game to the Pittsburgh Penguins in October and have since then been a little bit of hot and as well as they prepare to host Pittsburgh following two consecutive losses of their own before they hit the ice against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night at home.

You could say regardless of what the final scores were on Tuesday and Wednesday night the Blackhawks are definitely looking to get even with the Penguins not seeing them for a long time.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will look to get a win at home on Ash Wednesday and Valentine's Day on Wednesday night against their division rivals in the Florida Panthers before they head to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night and they'll do so as they look to bounce back from back-to-back losses to the Minnesota Wild (MIN 3-2 PIT) on Friday night in Minnesota and then they suffered a loss to the Winnipeg Jets (WPG 2-1 PIT) on Saturday night in Winnipeg.
