This week we start off with March Madness and UK. Then we move into a discussion of moving from NCAA to NBA and Wisconsin's activism. Next we look into fake fighting in the NBA and the World Baseball Classic. We have two new segments in which we share about the world of cricket and cycling. Our main topic this week is all about the places in which we play sports and how they interact with the sports themselves. Lastly we touch on what we think that we think. This week that means talking about sacred spaces and the incomprehensibility of other people.

We start this week with a discussion of Amare Stoudemire's ridiculous statement about having gay teammates. Then we move into some other discussions of the state of the NBA and the soccer world. Included in here is a discussion of how to fix penalties in soccer. We also touch on Patty Mills' advocacy and the ridiculousness of riding bikes in 60 MPH winds. Then we move into our main topic of how advanced metrics play out in modern sports. We lay out the numbers that matter the most to us and where we think and hope things are headed. We close with "I think" pieces that touch on populism and softball.

This week we start off with the week's news, including the anxiety of a relegation race and the excitement of March Madness. Then we move on to the Baylor situation and the NBA's "great" franchises. Finally we touch on the prevalence of the 3-pointer in the NBA and the problems with injury in every sport. For our main topic, we discuss why so many athletes are now considered celebrities and what that means. We also spend some time on our discomfort with celebrity in general. Finally, our "I think" pieces touch on LeBron's growth/celebrity and Cricket saving the world.

We start off in the Week's News. This week that means talking about Rickie Fowler, PGA golfers and Trump, the disaster that is the Sacramento Kings, and Shaq Vs. Javale McGee. Then we discuss transgender athletes in the news and NASCAR shrinking. After a couple other things, we move into discussing the idea of the Underdog and Cinderella. We focus on the lack of resources and where an underdog comes from. Lastly, we focus our "I think" pieces on the excitement of cycling and being able to talk about sports as we should.

After a week off, we return to discuss the week's news. We look into NBA All-Star weekend and spend some more time discussing the NBA. Then we briefly move through golf and soccer. We even spent a bit of time on the NFL and their conflict with Texas. Finally, we move into our main topic. This week we are discussing the business of sports. We start out just looking at how much money is in these leagues before breaking it down from an owner's and player's perspective. To wrap up, our "I think" pieces touch on the future of sports and being a fan.

We start this week with an obligatory discussion of the Super Bowl and the somewhat traumatic way it ended. Then we touch on the Phoenix Open, the Indian Premier League Draft, Arsenal's inevitable fall and the state of NBA drama. Then we move into the 10 things we like and don't like. We each list out 5 things we like and 5 we don't. After this fun exercise, we move into our "I think" pieces. This time we both focus on our disappointment in the Super Bowl.

This week we start off with our bafflement and disappointment in the absurdity of our new president. Then we move into a number of topics including the mid-season turmoil of the Cavs and Bulls. We also dig the glorious final weekend of the Australian Open. We also touch on Tiger's comeback and missed cut along with what it is like to watch games in person.

Then in our main segment, we welcome Jaclyn Puntillo to share her story of being a head coach for a significant high school soccer team. We dig into what the concept of team means to us. To start with we touch on how teams work. After this we discuss the idea of individual versus team sports and what our society likes best. Lastly we dig into whether team or individual sports are better. To wrap everything up, we finish with our "I think" pieces that celebrate Zach Lowe and discuss using sports as a source of joy in the midst of disquiet.

As always, we start by digging into the week's news. We touch on Greg Popovich again calling out the Trumpster and then dig into remakes of Space Jam and White Men Can't Jump. Then we touch on the the sexism in golf and Phil Mickelson's ridiculous new logo. After touching on a few other stops, we make it to our main topic - Professionalism. We dig into the idea of professional sports and the concept of professionalism more broadly. We juxtapose Micheal Jordan and Allen Iverson to try and understand ideas of what it means to be a professional. Finally, we use our "I think" pieces to celebrate women in sports and call out inauthenticity in sports media.

This week we start off with the with the week's news. There was a lot to get to this past week, including the Australian Open, Steph Curry talking about money, UConn always winning and plaudits for Jason Heyward and the City of San Diego. Then we move into a new series. This time we are going to touch on some big terms in sports and dig into them deeply. More specifically, we dig into what they mean in sports and what they mean for society. This week we start with the concept of "winning". We end on our "I think" pieces that dig into winning again and our need to celebrate the elderly.

In a special episode, we share our appreciation for the Harry Potter series and how it intersects with sports! We start like always and look at the week's news. We talk about Meryl Streep's comments on MMA and football and the joy of the FA Cup. Additionally, we express a bit of excitement for the upcoming golf season. Then we start the fun and talk about the importance of Quidditch in the Harry Potter series. Just for fun, we also match up Harry Potter characters with the most similar sports personality. After this really fun segment, we finish with our usual think pieces.
