In the final game of the NFL season on January 6, 2002, with Michael Strahan coming free, Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre slid down and Strahan fell on top of Favre for an easy sack. After the play, during the ensuing celebration, many of the Giants' defensive players patted Favre on the helmet. In Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals, Paul Pierce was taken into the tunnel in a wheelchair after it appeared that Pierce had suffered a serious knee injury after tripping over teammate Kendrick Perkins. Less than 2 minutes of gametime later, Paul Pierce came back to the game wearing a knee wrap and was back on the court. In 2019 during a 2019 NBA Finals edition of NBA Countdown, Pierce said that he just really had to go the bathroom.
