Episode 4

Lance and Cara Berkman join us today. Lance played 15 seasons as a Major League Baseball Player with the Astros, Yankees, Cardinals and Rangers. He was selected to play in 6 MLB All-Star Games and played in two World Series with the Astros in 2005, and the Cardinals in 2011. He was a teammate with Matt's and a key contributor to the St. Louis Cardinals winning the 2011 World Series where he hit .417 with 11 hits and 9 runs scored. 

He and Cara have been married for 21 years and have four beautiful daughters. 

On this episode, we talk to Lance and Cara about their journeys of faith, being an example of Jesus to their kids, and their advice to younger couples on having a long, sustaining marriage centered in Christ.

Adam and Jenny Wainwright are our guests today. Adam has been an MLB pitcher since 2006 with the St. Louis Cardinals. Adam and Matt were teammates and roommates during their time together with the Cardinals, winning a World Series in 2011. Adam and Jenny have been married since 2004 and grew to be close friends with Matt and Leslee.

On this episode, Adam and Jenny share stories on faith, parenting, making disciples, and why Adam started a Bible Study with his fans.

As part of the pro athlete division, Christensen and his team assist professional athletes in building their wealth, giving generously, and managing their financial resources wisely. Through his 30-plus years of personally working with pro athletes and their families, he has learned how to help them navigate the financial, marital and personal pitfalls that professional athletes face today. Ronald Blue Trust serves more than 100 active and retired players and coaches across the MLB, NFL, NBA, PGA, NASCAR and NCAA.

Prior to joining Ron Blue, Christensen owned a public accounting and financial planning firm. He earned his bachelors in accounting from Arizona State University and received his master’s degree in Christian leadership from Western Seminary.

On this episode, Don shares some encouragement and advice on how to react during these uncertain financial times with the coronavirus and how the Great Commission shapes how we should influence our decisions moving forward.

Leah Taylor is one of the most influential women in Leslee's life. It is fitting that she and her husband Seth are the first guests on Table 40. Seth is a former minor league baseball player who played with Matt Holliday during their time in the minor leagues. They faithfully poured into Matt and Leslee when they were newly married. Leah is a brilliant women with a lot of practical wisdom. She recently completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health. Seth is currently a financial advisor.
