In today's episode, recorded on 9/19/23, we recap the action from NFL week 2, including the Patriots' loss to the Dolphins. We also continue our re-watch of the Red Sox 2004 postseason. Today we are talking about innings 1-3 of game 5 of the ALCS vs the Yankees, played on Monday 10/18/04, a game that PJ saw in person. The Yankees lead the best of 7 series 3-1 and they send Mike Mussina to the mound. The Red Sox have Pedro Martinez on the hill as they again attempt to stave off elimination. 

In this episode, the guys break down the NFL week 1 games. We also unveil our NFL power rankings, and react to Tom Brady's return to Foxboro for the Pats' 2023 season opener. Find out what our first impressions are of this year's New England Patriots.

And finally, we continue our rewatch of the Red Sox 2004 post season. Today we analyze innings 10-12 of game 4 of the ALCS, played at Fenway Park on 10/17/23.

 The long wait is over! This jumbo sized episode kicks off season 5 with a bang. There's a lot to talk about, and PJ and EMac are joined in the studio by frequent guest and friend of the show, marathoner and guitarist from The Naticks, Ross MacAndrew. Ross updates us on his quest to qualify for the olympic trials, and tells us what The Naticks have been up to. 
      Topics discussed include the upcoming NFL season, the complete disaster that is the 2023 Red Sox season, and we pick up where we left off with our rewatch of the 2004 -Red Sox post-season. We're just getting to the good stuff as today we cover innings 7-9 of game 4 of the ALCS vs the New York Yankees, played at Fenway Park on October 17, 2004. When we left off, the Red Sox trailed in the series 3 games to none, and were trailing 4-3 after the sixth inning and facing elimination.

We also continue our re-watch of the Red Sox 2004 post-season. Today we are discussing innings 4-6 of game 4 of the ALCS, with the Red Sox facing elimination, trailing the Yankees 3 games to none.   

In today's episode we have a convergence of events. We discuss the Celtics' chances of becoming the first NBA team to come back from down 3-0 to win a best of 7 series. We contrast this team with the 2004 Red Sox as we continue our re-watch of the 2004 post-season with innings 1-3 of game 4 of the 2004 ALCS. 

Today's short but sweet episode includes discussions about the Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins, but most importantly a whole bunch of Happy Birthdays to several friends and family in this very busy birthday month. We hope you enjoy listening!

We also discuss if we may have underestimated the Red Sox, and if so by how much? Plus, we continue our re-watch of the Sox' 2004 postseason with innings 7-9 of game 3 of the ALCS vs the Yankees- about as much fun as a root canal. Maybe less. 

We are back after a 2 week layoff with a brand new episode. Today we get ready for what we hope are long playoff runs by the Bruins and Celtics. We also discuss the 2023 Red Sox' shortcomings, and we continue our 2004 Red Sox post-season re-watch with innings 4-6 of game 3 of the ALCS vs the New York Yankees.
