Hey everyone, welcome to episode 179 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode I was joined by the one and only Ike Eastman. The President of Eastmans’ Publishing, host of Beyond the Grid and Eastmans Journal Podcast. What a fun conversation I had with Ike and a chance for not only myself but all of you listening to hear a quick family history of how Eastmans Hunting Journal started out and a ton more!!
Kicking this episode off, Ike introduces himself and gives a quick family back story from when his grandfather began the business and how it has grown into what it is today. From beginning with creating films shown in school theaters to magazines to what we are consuming today! Ike shares how adapting over time has also helped him adapt in certain situations when it comes to preparing for a hunt or during a hunt. Ike shares his daily inspiration and other personal improving stories. From here we get into what Eastmans has in store. They just released TagHub 2.0 that is partnered with Spartan Forge! This tool has all new updated features and Ike shares how this tool can help hunters be more efficient and understand the process of coming out west to be better hunters. There are also videos, blogs, and courses that are available on the new version. We get into some new hunts that we will get a chance to watch here soon on his show Beyond the Grid and discuss his goals with his podcast moving forward! It was truly an honor to have Ike on the show and I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did! Check it out and let us know what you think! Enjoy this fun episode and see you next week!

This week on the Missouri Woods & Water podcast we get part of the MWW family together to talk about some prairie dog hunting. Russell and Austin join us and we break down a recent trip Russell got to take to South Dakota to hunt those critters. None of us have ever went prairie dog hunting so it was fun to hear about Russell's experience with it. Russell just breaks down the trip and what it was like out there for him. It was really fun to hear about something that none of us have ever really thought about doing before hearing Russell's experience. Thanks for listening!

In this episode, Ricky and Hollywood have a chat with Jason Matzinger of Into High Country on the Sportsman Channel.
Jason is an award winning film producer and the host of Into High Country on the Sportsman Channel. He is a champion for conservation and has dedicated his life to sharing his backcountry experiences in a way never before seen.
Jason tells the story about what led him to his current successes. Ricky enquires about his already accomplished 2023 hunting season, and the discussion segues into what it’s like to be a hunting dad.
Jason is a busy man with 2 new films and Season 14 of Into High Country on the horizon. Chasing a Ghost is a film about a 400” Bull Elk Jason chased for nearly 5 years. His upcoming conservation piece in conjunction with the Wild Sheep Foundation, explores the idea of Selective Hunting and why the practice is so important to wildlife conservation.
In this segment of Shiny Things, Jason is mindful of juggling work and time with his boys. Ricky is taking his crack at being a farmer and is also really excited about the podcast. Hollywood is under contract to buy a home and is looking forward to his South Dakota hunting trip.

This week's episode of the Oklahoma Outdoors Podcast covers a topic John has been wanting to talk about for quite some time. Greg Willis runs US Hunts, a website that helps hunters find leases for deer, waterfowl, varmints, bears, and more. Greg has been helping connect hunters with land owners for many years now, but has recently upped his game and his outreach. US hunts is a simple to use website, which can filter what a person is looking for, much like any other online shopping.
Greg and John obviously talk about Gregs business, but they also cover many topics that are good for anyone looking to lease land should know. Obviously everyone wants to kill giant deer, but there are other things to consider as well like neighbors, water, food, accessibility for both hunting and other recreational uses, and don't forget about the land owner themself. The guys also talk about the advantages to leasing over owning. Such as being able to hunt multiple areas, or being able to simply pick up and go if something were to happen to the quality of the game a person is pursuing.

In this week’s [UNCENSORED] podcast by GoWild, we are back from our walleye fishing trip on Lake Erie. We went to Port Clinton, Ohio, and hit it at prime time with Lakeland Charters. We rented an AirBnB, ate like kings, attended Walleye Fest, and had a blast. We motored up to Canadian waters and saw a ton of boats but still managed to catch piles of fish. Everyone was catching them with a few really nice ones … find out who caught the biggest fish and the most fish!
We talk about some of the tactics and methods used and what someone can expect to experience on a walleye fishing charter. Even though we are avid anglers, this type of fishing is a world apart from what we know. Find out which part was the hardest to figure out. We got into a few non-targeted fish along the way too. Learn about all of the many ways we love walleye. We’re already planning our next big fishing adventure … find out a few of the places we want to go next!
Be sure to check out the GoWild Shop and get ready to redeem your rewards–there’s tons of new fishing gear!

[UNCENSORED] by GoWild kicks off your week with shameful nonsense, inappropriate convictions, and unfiltered tales from the woods, waters and whatevers. [UNCENSORED] is a behind the scenes look at our adventures, failures, wins, embarrassing moments at trade shows, hilarious tales from the warehouse, and a good rant or three about the most recent tyranny from the Dark Lord of the Sith himself.

On this episode of The Nomadic Outdoorsman Dan talks with Josh Isely about his adventures hunting what most would consider once in a lifetime animals.
Josh is a regular 8-5 engineer with a grown son. He grew up in a small town in southern Wisconsin, worked on his grandparents farm and in his mother's bar. He was an athlete but always loved to be in the woods and on the water. He grew up admiring the mule deer and antelope on the wall in his grandfather’s basement and knew that he wanted to expand his hunting one day. He took his first trip to WY in 2009 which sparked a love for new hunting adventures and helped him make lifestyle changes that would allow him to travel the world in pursuit of big game. On this episode Dan and Josh discuss the ins and outs of expedition hunting and what it takes to break outside the “norm” of hunting your home state.

It's late June! Hopefully you're ironing out your hunting plans for this fall. If your like many hunters, those hunt planning conversations with your spouse can look more like arguments, with neither side walking away very happy with how things went down. What if there's a better way? A way to argue less AND hunt more? And what if that way is NOT a divorce?
In this episode of the How to Hunt Deer Podcast, Josh talks with his wife, professional counselor Tiffany Raley, about how spouses can spend more time hunting and less time arguing about it.
