After 34 years at ESPN, Linda Cohn is finally getting the opportunity to say exactly what she thinks.
The longtime SportsCenter anchor joins Jason Page for an extended conversation about the end of her remarkable run at ESPN, the transition from corporate sports media to independence and the launch of The Linda Cohn Show.
Cohn shares her perspective on Aaron Rodgers and Pat McAfee, the criticism surrounding Tony Romo's work at CBS, and why she believes Romo may ultimately need a change of scenery to rediscover the broadcaster viewers initially loved.
The conversation also turns to women in sports broadcasting and the controversy involving Dianna Russini and Patriots coach Mike Vrabel. Cohn explains why she believes Russini should eventually tell her side of the story publicly and offers advice to young women trying to succeed in an industry where old stereotypes haven't completely disappeared.
Cohn also discusses her own experience breaking into the boys' club of sports broadcasting, the importance of blocking out outside noise and her interest in mentoring and speaking to the next generation of broadcasters.
Plus, Jason opens the show with The Big Story and questions the economics behind LIV Golf after CEO Scott O'Neil revealed that a new majority investor is expected to help fund the league beginning in 2027. If hundreds of millions of dollars are about to flow into LIV, what exactly is the investor getting in return?
It's an extended, wide-ranging conversation with one of the most recognizable sports broadcasters of the past three decades.
