Imagine you come from Spain to Finland, you graduate here, start working for a start-up, every couple of months you are promoted and finally you have a leading role.
But then you face the downside of this great career: huge responsibility, too high workload, you work 12 hours every day, you cannot sleep anymore and you could cry every day because your body cannot handle the stress. Would you quit your job?
It was so impressive to talk with Lady Sanchez about her story:
You can find her beautiful products (hair scrunchies, headbands, bow clips and much more!) as well as upcoming events in her online shop under

“Staying in Vietnam, I would have lived with my parents until getting married, and then I would have lived with the family of my husband.” – But if you want more in life, if you have a continuous drive for learning and developing your skills, you use the chance to study in Finland.
This is what Camilla Lumi Koivu did and during the last 8 years she has made an impressive career and now works as a senior marketing specialist in a big Finnish company.

What do you do when you move from Portugal to Helsinki and just two weeks later the pandemic starts? When you run out of work in your remote job? – You get creative! This is what Inês did: She discovered again her passion for drawing – especially birds – and built up her own business ‘Seni Illustrations’ as an illustrator and graphic designer.
Today she runs her business successfully by selling her creations as prints, postcards and pins in her own online shop and by serving business clients like cafés and restaurants with creative chalk works.
It was inspiring to interview her and we have talked about:

You already have the job that you ever wanted?
Are you wavering around the question what you really want to reach in life? Are you not able to keep up the motivation to work on your skills, because you don’t have a clear target? – But having a target is what keeps us going! It makes us getting up in the morning with energy, it makes us going the extra-mile on our way to success, no matter if we are students, currently unemployed, part of a team or managing our own business.
In this podcast-episode you learn how to define a target for yourself
Defining your next goal just based on facts is not enough to keep you motivated! You have to feel it! You have to visualize it! I promise you, once you have seen your target in front of your inner eye, you will start going! I am so grateful that I have been introduced to NLP (Neurolinguistic programming), because this is a scientific method to guide you through a intensive visualization to show you how it feels where you want to be and to awaken all the resources in you, so that you reach what you want!
I would be happy to hear your story and what your target is in a first free-of-charge consultation: https://www.michaela-kettner.coach/book-consultation
If you want to start learning about yourself, your strengths and possibilities in your own pace, have a look on the video course “6 powerful methods to boost your self-confidence”: https://www.michaela-kettner.coach/video-course

Imagine you go to a party or networking event, you don’t know anyone and you are really afraid of starting to talk to strangers, because after a couple of sentences of small talk, it happens what we all don’t like: This long embarrassing pause, because you don’t know what to say.
Imagine you have to start a challenging discussion with your colleague or manager and you get confronted with a strange comment or even a verbal attach. And there is it again: This long embarrassing pause, because you don’t know what to say.
What if you would have some small recipes or templates in your mind, that would you make feel secure, that – whatever another person says to you – you can always keep the conversation going and can always retain the upper hand in a debate?! You would feel so much more safe and confident, no matter to who or about what you have to talk.
In this new episode, I share two of these powerful templates with you, that I have learned in my education as an NLP Practitioner, so that you can try them out directly in your everyday (working) life.
And I would like to offer you to practice these templates and additional powerful communication hacks together with you on a 1:1-basis. Because knowing the theory about that is the first step, but you have to practice to get better and I would be happy to be your coach to offer you a safe space for that, provide you feedback and the necessary fine-tuning, so that you will get more successful and visible at work because you are the one who speaks up for her interests!

“This person does not like me”, “I am not as good as the others” – How many of you have these thoughts as well?
Do you know that when you are afraid that other people might think negatively about you?
The good news is: This is not the reality. The fear that you might annoy other people, that you are not good enough or that they don’t like you is a creation of your own mind. This is what we call a ‘limiting dogma’. It is a thought that has anchored in our brain based on a previous experience, that had caused strong emotions in us. However, that does not have to mean that this experience will repeat again and again.
Your future is not the automatic continuation of your past! Just because one person made a negative comment about you many years ago, it does not mean that nowadays your colleagues, friends and family think about you in the same way. But when such dogmas still limit you to open up and to speak up for your interest, it is time to get aware of them – and also talk about them.
In this new podcast episode, I would like to share the story with you, why I (still) have this limiting dogma that I am annoying other people and what I do to overcome it.
And if I was able to make this impressive development to get more much self-confident, you can do that as well! My video course “6 powerful tools to push your self-confidence” contains those tools, which have helped me the most and which are based on proven methods used in personal development coaching and NLP. You can work through the videos in your own pace in a safe environment. With the exercises you will identify your strengths, values and targets – and also which dogmas limit you. A better self-awareness is the basis for your (professional) success and a better communication with others!
You can find my video course “6 powerful tools to push your self-confidence” under www.michaela-kettner.coach/my-offers.
And if you are based in Helsinki, I would look forward to welcome you in my workshop about “How to set yourself the right targets and remove limiting dogmas so that you can really reach your goals”, which I will give on the 22nd September for the Helsinki Spouse Program. The event will be announced on the website, where you can also find all information about the Spouse Program: https://spouseprogram.fi.
I never like the way how I look when I have the webcam on and I would never ever make a post on Social Media where my face is straight in front of the camera!!
Those could have been my words two years ago. Does that sound familiar to you? Do you also walk around with this “hopefully nobody sees me”-attitude? Merely not attracting too much attention…
Nowadays I have fun to give speeches, to publish videos of those and to do photo shootings for my website and the new title picture of my podcast. And I really like the result. And guess what?! The way I look has not changed. But I did a major step during the last years to develop from a shy girl who liked it to hide in the background to a self-confident woman who gets visible and speaks up for their interest.
In my new podcast episode, you hear the full story how I resolved my insecurities to show myself to others and what successes this transformation has brought me.

When was the last time that you have cried in front of someone else? Or admitted how much you are struggling and that you need help? Sounds quite challenging, right? At least for me it was. I have thought a lot, whether I should record such an episode, but I had figured out during the last months that this is my next level of getting visible: To not just be an outgoing person with a super-positive attitude, but also allow myself to show weakness. And with this I have identified who are the amazing people in my life who are able to handle this and give me support – and filter out those ones who were not.
Have you ever experienced such a situation and would you like to have the strength to even show your weaknesses to others openly? Hear in this episode as the second part of this summer special, why this is the third phase – or even the supreme discipline of visibility.
I would be happy to hear your feedback in which phase of visibility you are seeing yourself at the moment, so please reach out via Instagram (@michaela.kettner.fi), Facebook or via LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaela-kettner-6a67a993/)!

Do you know people who are really inconspicuous, who are easily overlooked and seem to be invisible for others? Do you feel like such a person yourself? Do you have problems to express yourself and to build up connections to other people, because nobody recognizes you and nobody seems to remember you after a meeting at work, after a business event or after a party? The bad news is: Nobody will see what a great person you are, if you don’t dare to show it. The good news is: You can learn how to do that!
I went through this process myself when I moved to Finland in 2019. Being a very shy and invisible person in the past who always played small and kept herself in the background, I managed to develop true self-confidence to speak up for my interest and an attitude that was seen and admired by people.
And then this summer I got the important insight that making honest connections to other people is not just about speaking up with attitude. I have discovered that there is a third phase of getting visible – the true supreme discipline. Hear in this and the second part of this summer special, what the three phases of visibility are! I would be happy to hear in which phase you are seeing yourself at the moment, so please reach out via Instagram (@michaela.kettner.fi), Facebook or via LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaela-kettner-6a67a993/)!
