“How can I get better in the things that I do? How do I know what to improve?”
You always have the chance to give feedback to yourself! Self-reflection means that after doing a task, hosting a meeting, giving a presentation, or recording a podcast 😉, you can always analyse yourself: what was good, what was bad, what can be improved, what were mistakes that you can learn from.
In this episode you learn how to self-analyse yourself in an easy way just within a couple of minutes. And by doing this, you will become better in doing your tasks in the future! This will also increase your self-confidence!
You will also here how and when this podcast will continue! To not miss any news about when the next episode will be out, follow me on LinkedIn (Michaela Kettner) or Instagram (@spotlightyourself.michaela)!

“Sorry, I have my menstruation. I cannot attend this business meeting – I want to rest!”
Have you ever said that at work to your boss? Have you heard it from others? Would you be judged as unprofessional, too sensitive and weak? Do
In this podcast episode, I talk with Carmen Lorenzana who became a menstrual educator and fertility coach after she suffered from an irregular cycle and was diagnosed with PCOS. I have never talked to a person who knows so much about the female cycle! It is still an overlooked topic in our male-dominated world. In this interview you will learn:
Carmen is offering on-site workshops and online coachings. You can find everything about her on https://carmenlorenzana.com/
Here you can download her free guide about the 4 phases of the cycle, its challenges, needs and superpowers – very worth reading!:

Would you consider yourself as a “job hopper”? What does it mean to change your job every 2-3 years because your employments are based on fixed term contracts?
Marina Ponomareva loves exactly this challenge. Originally from Russia, she has studied in the Netherlands and came to Finland as a junior professional. She has followed an impressive – and very diversified – career path, working in IT, as a project manager at the Nordic Investment Bank (our common employer), leading the program ‘Entry Point’ for international talents in Espoo and now finally found her passion in working as a recruiter.
In the first part of this interview, you can learn from her experience
This is the first part of the interview with Marina. In the second part (episode #48), she will share a lot of valuable insights from her job as a recruiter and answers tricky questions about writing a CV, negotiating the salary and dealing with references from abroad.
You can find Marina Ponomareva and more of her recruiting insights on LinkedIn.

“Great people make other people great, small people keep other people small.”
And this is not referring to the body size 😉. There is a difference between being really self-confident and having a big ego. Are you able to award and recognize other people in a sincere and empathetic way or are you trying to push them down and make them feel guilty.
In this episode you learn:
If you want to develop your self-confidence to improve your relationships with your colleagues, your friends and loved ones – to be not driven by a huge ego – you can find support and all information about my coaching programs on my website www.michaela-kettner.coach.

“When I was employed, I felt like I was sacrificing my freedom. I always wanted to be an entrepreneur.”
With this mindset – plus the fact that she is highly allergic to any conventional jewelry – Chiara decided to create jewelry herself and to found her own brand. Together with her business partner she developed ‘MonVes’. This brand stands for beautiful hand-made earrings, necklaces and bracelets, which are made of materials which are suitable for everyone. The jewelries flash you back to your last summer holiday, they are beautifully inspired by places from all over the world and you can find them under

Do you know what happens on the 15th January every year?
If you have set for yourself a great target for 2023 on New Year’s Day - do you belong to the 5% of people who are still following it?
How big are your targets and dreams for this year? “If your target does not make you a little bit scared, it is not the right target” one of my mentors once said to me.
But having a great target can be overwhelming, your head gets dizzy if you think about all these many, many things that you have to do to get where you want to be.
In this podcast episode I share with you a simple but very efficient tool with the mysterious name “The Master List”, so that you can plan to reach your targets and that you can trust that you do something for them every day.
Because reaching great targets is always the sum of many small steps that you take. Every day!
Do you allow yourself to celebrate yourself?
Or are you right now facing a stressful pre-Christmas time with still too many to-do’s on your list, like baking cookies, buying presents and decorating your flat?
What if you take a couple of minutes time for yourself – and instead of thinking about what is coming next, you look back on what has happened this year?!
What have been your big and small successes? What are you proud of? And yes, you can allow yourself to be proud!
Learn in this episode why it will push your self-confidence to reflect what has happened this year and what is more important than compliments from other people!
I would be happy to encourage you to get more visible, self-confident and professionally successful in Finland. Follow me here on LinkedIn or on Instagram (@michaela.kettner.fi) or check out my website
