“Blessed Are Those Who Hunger and Thirst” – Pastor Michael Petillo
In this powerful and timely message, Pastor Michael challenges us to consider our response to a world in turmoil—rising global conflict, moral confusion, and spiritual complacency. As headlines stir fear, he reminds us that the greatest testimony of a Christ-filled life is peace in the face of chaos.
Drawing from Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled,” the sermon explores what it truly means to crave righteousness in our daily lives. Pastor Michael outlines three key tests to examine our spiritual hunger:
Avoiding what opposes righteousness – True hunger steers us away from sin and even from distractions that dull our spiritual edge.
Disciplining our lives around God’s righteousness – Hungering after righteousness means intentionally structuring our time around the Word, prayer, and worship.
Positioning ourselves to receive – Those who thirst for God actively place themselves in environments—like church, community, and service—where God’s presence and power can move.
The sermon ends with a reminder: if you feel spiritually dry, it’s not too late. Jesus promises that those who ask will receive. Pastor Michael calls us to seek God boldly, in faith, and be filled with His peace, power, and presence.

🎙️ Father’s Day Message – “Forged by the Father” with Elder Gary Barkalow
In this special Father’s Day message, Elder Gary Barkalow brings an honest and deeply insightful word to fathers and all those who take on the role of fathering others. Drawing from Proverbs 3:3–7 and Ephesians 6:4, Gary explores what it means to lead with kindness and truth, pursue wisdom and understanding, and live with trust and humility.
Through personal stories and biblical reflection, Gary emphasizes the importance of opening hearts through compassionate engagement, asking intentional questions, and modeling a life of repentance and resilience. He challenges listeners to approach parenting not just as a role, but as a sacred process of formation — one that mirrors God’s own work in our lives.
A powerful forging metaphor ties the message together: just as steel must go from fire to anvil and back again to become something strong and purposeful, so too are our children — and we — shaped by God’s loving hands.
This message is a call to trust God’s process, to desire His presence in all things, and to father from a place rooted in His love. A timely and encouraging word for Father’s Day — and beyond.

“A Journey to the Jordan”
In this message, we explore the spiritual journey of the believer through the lens of Paul’s ministry and the story of Elisha’s pursuit of Elijah. Paul challenges the Ephesian church with the “whole counsel of God,” while lamenting the spiritual immaturity of the Corinthians, who remained stuck and unable to walk in deeper things of the Spirit. Why the difference? The Ephesians were willing to embrace the cross—dying to self, sacrificing comfort, and following God fully.
Elisha’s journey past Gilgal, Bethel, and Jericho to the Jordan River mirrors our spiritual progression. The Jordan represents surrender, death to self, and alignment with God’s purposes. It’s the place few are willing to go, but where true spiritual authority and vision are imparted. This call to the Jordan is a call out of the earthly mindset into the eternal—out of comfort and into kingdom purpose.
Will we be content with what God has done, or will we keep pressing forward to the deeper life He’s calling us to?

🎙️ Podcast Recap: "Priest in Our Homes"
This week's message, “Priest in Our Homes,” challenged us to step into our God-given role as spiritual leaders within our families. Centered around Exodus 32, it used the golden calf story to highlight how quickly we can drift from God's presence when He's not at the center of our lives.
The sermon focused on three main responsibilities of a priest—applied directly to parents, caregivers, and anyone influencing the next generation:
Keep God at the Center
Every home has a center—whether it’s success, sports, money, or comfort. But if God isn’t the priority, our families can easily lose direction. The encouragement? Look at your schedule, spending, and conversations—what's really at the core of your life?
Represent God’s Heart
Parenting reveals the condition of our own hearts. If we’re angry, anxious, or reactive, we’re not reflecting God’s love. Before we can lead our children spiritually, we must bring our hearts to God for healing and transformation.
Walk in Spiritual Vision
Like the Levites in Exodus who chose God’s side, we’re called to put aside anything that competes with God in our lives—career, approval, control—and trust Him even when we can’t see the full picture.
The bottom line? If we want our kids to love God, we need to model lives that are centered on Him, shaped by His heart, and focused on eternal things.
