“The Day the Whip Lost Its Power”
Preached by Pastor Michael Petillo | November 9, 2025
This week, Pastor Michael Petillo brought a powerful and freeing message out of Nehemiah 5 and Luke 4, connecting the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls to the restoration of God’s people from fear and bondage.
He reminded us that the broken walls in Nehemiah were more than physical — they symbolized the spiritual condition of God’s people. Without walls, the people were consumed by fear, and Pastor Michael drew a bold line to our modern walk with Christ: fear always destroys faith.
Using stories like Gideon’s 300 men, the fall of Jericho, and Jesus’ ministry in Nazareth, Pastor Michael showed that God always seeks a people of faith — not perfection. Just as Israel’s bondage to creditors in Nehemiah’s day mirrored the bondage of the law, many believers today are weighed down by the same spirit of fear — the feeling that we must perform to earn God’s love.
He warned that while discipline, holiness, and devotion are good, they can become a new kind of law if done apart from the Spirit. The result? A joyless, exhausting Christianity bound by fear of failure rather than fueled by the love of God.
Then came the breakthrough moment of the sermon — Paul’s declaration in Acts 22: “Is it lawful for you to whip a Roman citizen?” Pastor Michael painted the scene vividly, showing how Paul’s citizenship freed him from the lash.
“The day the whip lost its power,” Pastor Michael said, “was the day you were born again.”
As citizens of the heavenly Jerusalem, we have been born free. The spirit of the law no longer has the right to thrash us with condemnation or fear. Conviction still refines us, but the whip of shame and hopelessness has lost its power at the Cross.
Pastor Michael closed by giving two keys to rebuild our spiritual walls and walk in liberty:
Claim your rights as a citizen of heaven — Know who you are in Christ and refuse to live under bondage.
Depend on the work of the Holy Spirit — Romans 8 reminds us that we have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but the Spirit of adoption, crying “Abba, Father.”
🙏 Weekly Reflection
Ask God to reveal any area where fear has replaced faith.
Declare your heavenly citizenship — you were born free.
Rest in the Spirit’s assurance that you are God’s child, fully loved and fully redeemed.

“The Middle of the Miracle” – Pastor Billy Coker
In this week’s message, “The Middle of the Miracle,” Pastor Billy Coker reminds us that some of the hardest seasons in life—the moments between God’s promise and the fulfillment of it—are often where His deepest work happens.
Drawing from Mark 5:21–43, Pastor Billy explores the intertwined stories of Jairus’ dying daughter and the woman with the issue of blood, calling it a picture of “hopeless causes and hearts of faith.” Jairus, a respected synagogue leader, humbles himself before Jesus, desperate for his daughter’s healing. But on the way to the miracle, Jesus stops—He’s interrupted by a woman who’s been suffering for twelve years.
That interruption is the heart of the message: what do we do when God stops moving toward our miracle to deal with someone else’s?
Pastor Billy points out that while Jairus watches his situation seemingly die, Jesus is revealing something greater—He’s not just the healer of sickness but the Lord of resurrection life. “God’s greatest work in your life,” Pastor Billy says, “is first to perfect His love in you, and then to give you the hope of resurrection life.”
He reminds us that the woman’s healing wasn’t just physical; Jesus called her “Daughter”—restoring her identity, her peace, and her place in the community. Likewise, Jairus’ story ends not with death, but with the tender power of Jesus saying, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.”
Even in our own interruptions and delays, God is perfecting His love in us. Pastor Billy closed by encouraging listeners from Romans 5:1–5—that we can rejoice even in suffering, because through endurance, God is shaping our character and giving us unshakable hope.
So if you’re in the middle of your miracle, don’t fear—only believe. God’s not finished, and you will not be put to shame.

We can’t wait to grow in faith with you!
This week, Pastor Michael Petillo delivers a powerful message titled “Rebuilding the Walls of Worship Through Generosity,”drawing from Nehemiah 6:15–16. Just as Nehemiah rebuilt Jerusalem’s physical walls to protect the heart of worship, Pastor Michael reminds us that God is rebuilding spiritual walls in His people today—walls that guard genuine, wholehearted worship.
He draws a vivid contrast between Babylon, the place of false worship and idolatry, and Jerusalem, the city of true worship centered on trust in who God says He is. Worship, he explains, is far deeper than music or ritual—it’s “the absolute confidence and trust in who God says He is that overflows into action.”
Using Abraham’s test with Isaac (Genesis 22), Pastor Michael shows that true worship means trusting God even when circumstances seem to contradict His promises. That same trust, Jesus teaches, shows up most clearly in how we handle our money. “You cannot serve God and mammon,” Jesus said in Matthew 6, revealing that generosity is a litmus test of our worship.
Pastor Michael challenges listeners to see giving not as duty or pressure but as the natural response of a heart that has truly seen Jesus—like Zacchaeus, whose encounter with Christ transformed him from greedy to generous. Transformation, he says, doesn’t come from trying harder but from beholding who God really is.
He concludes: *“God’s desire is to recover a people whose hearts delight in Him, where everything they do—voluntarily and gladly—is unto the Lord.”*
**Weekly Reflection & Prayer Points**
* Ask God to rebuild the “walls” of worship in your heart.
* Pray for grace to trust Him fully with your resources.
* Reflect: What does how I give reveal about who I trust?
* Take one small, intentional step in generosity this week as an act of worship.

🎙️ Podcast Highlights — October 19, 2025
Message Title: God’s Special Book: The Names of His Precious Jewels
Speaker: Pastor Michael Petillo
In this powerful continuation of his series from Nehemiah, Pastor Michael reminds us that God’s people are called to be rebuilders—just as Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, we’re invited to rebuild the spiritual walls that have fallen in our culture, families, and hearts.
He drew vivid parallels between Nehemiah’s mission and today’s church, describing how the end-time church faces “walls of faith and prayer being smashed,” yet God is looking for people who will rise up and build again—not complain, not run, but engage with faith and vision.
Through Scripture and personal stories (including a moving memory from Ground Zero and a convicting word from Nicky Cruz), Pastor Michael emphasized two keys for walking in faith amid spiritual rubble:
Thanksgiving is the hidden language of faith. Gratitude releases peace and reminds us of God’s faithfulness when everything else feels uncertain.
Sometimes you have to tell yourself to stop. Like David in Psalm 42, we can speak directly to our own souls—choosing hope and refusing despair.
“Faith is an action. You can choose to walk in faith, to believe God’s promises, to speak faith into others.” — Pastor Michael Petillo
The message concluded with a beautiful reminder from Malachi 3:16-17: those who fear and honor the Lord are written in His book of remembrance—His precious jewels. Pastor Michael encouraged us to be those jewels: believers who speak faith, rebuild what’s broken, and inspire others to trust in the goodness of God.
Weekly Prayer Focus:
Lord, give me the heart of a rebuilder like Nehemiah.
Help me to speak faith instead of complaint.
Teach me the power of thanksgiving in every trial.
Let me be found among Your precious jewels—faithful, thankful, and full of hope.
Bonus Moment: When Pastor Michael shared how his mom told his dad he wasn’t even in her top ten friends—but God still turned that marriage around—it brought both laughter and hope. Proof that God truly specializes in rebuilding what’s been broken.

“God’s End Time Activity to Set His Last Days Church Free from Insolvency ”
Preached by Pastor Michael Petillo — October 12, 2025
This week, Pastor Michael launches a powerful new series on the book of Nehemiah, uncovering how God is moving in these last days to rebuild and restore His people. Drawing from Isaiah 58, Isaiah 61, and Nehemiah, Pastor Michael reveals how God transforms those who are broken and burdened into restorers, rebuilders, and repairers—not by human strength, but by His Spirit.
Through the story of Nehemiah—a man with a regular job but extraordinary faith—we see that revival and restoration don’t start in pulpits or palaces, but in the hearts of everyday believers willing to say yes to God’s call.
Pastor Michael challenges us to look inward:
Are we spiritually bankrupt, living off others’ faith instead of drawing from our own inheritance in Christ?
Have we allowed the house of God to be filled with things that don’t belong—earthly principles instead of heavenly presence?
This message calls believers to return to intimacy with Jesus, to live from the supernatural life of Christ within, and to rediscover the joy of being fully satisfied in Him—even when everything else is stripped away.
It’s time to rebuild what’s been broken, to purify what’s been polluted, and to prepare for what’s coming.
God is raising up a Nehemiah generation—and it starts with you.

“The Repairer of the Breach”
This week, Pastor Billy Coker brought a powerful word titled “The Repairer of the Breach,” drawing from Isaiah 58:6–12. He reminded us that we are called to be workers in the ruins—people who stand in the gap, rebuild what’s broken, and protect the generations to come.
Pastor Billy reflected on the church’s recent time of prayer and fasting, reminding us that true fasting is not about self-focus but about humbling ourselves, drawing closer to Christ, and being moved with compassion for the poor, the broken, and the oppressed. Just as Jesus fasted and came out in the power of the Spirit to proclaim freedom, our lives should carry that same fragrance of the gospel.
Through this passage, we see that God’s blessings—light, healing, protection, answered prayer, wisdom, provision, and restoration—come when we pour ourselves out for others. Pastor Billy challenged us to be ready for the harvest God is bringing in: prodigals returning, younger generations hungry for truth, and people from all backgrounds encountering Jesus.
Like Ezra and Nehemiah, we may face rubble, resistance, and discouragement, but the call is to keep building with one hand and fighting with the other, knowing that God Himself fights for us. In Christ, the ultimate repairer of the breach, we find the strength to rebuild lives, homes, and nations.

You Talk Too Much | Pastor Michael Petillo | September 21, 2025
This week’s message is a powerful reminder that in times of tragedy and darkness, God is still at work. Reflecting on recent events, including the words of Charlie Kirk and his bold declaration of the gospel, the sermon challenges us to recognize that while evil is manifesting in unprecedented ways, God’s grace abounds even more. Just as Stephen’s death stirred Saul’s conscience and ultimately led to Paul’s transformation, God can use tragedy to awaken hearts and call people back to Him.
The heart of the message emphasizes spiritual authority—not based on age, personality, or knowledge, but found only through communion with the Holy Spirit in prayer. Action without God’s heart won’t bear lasting fruit, but when believers seek Him deeply, His authority fills our words, prayers, and witness with power.
Drawing from the life of Job, the sermon also warns that prayer without reverence and focus on God’s character leads to weariness. True breakthrough comes when we stop rushing into prayer with complaints and instead meditate on who God is—our Father, Redeemer, and Sustainer.
As the church enters a season of fasting and prayer, we are invited to shift from petitions alone to deep reflection on God’s nature, trusting that He will transform us and give us the authority to stand boldly for Christ in a broken world.

What Do You Do When God Shows Up?
In this week’s message, Pastor Michael takes us to Daniel 5 and the dramatic moment when God wrote on the wall during Belshazzar’s feast. Babylon, representing the world’s pride, self-reliance, and rebellion, is a vivid picture of our culture today—where even the church risks being filled with the “wine of Babylon,” chasing comfort, prosperity, and entertainment rather than God’s glory.
Yet, when God shows up and speaks, not everyone understands what He’s doing. Daniel was able to discern God’s heart because he was a man of prayer. Pastor Michael reminds us that without prayer, we risk becoming like Peter on the Mount of Transfiguration—missing God’s will, getting busy building what He never asked for, while His glory passes by.
The call is clear: prayer and fasting tune our hearts to God’s voice so that when He moves, we don’t just see activity—we discern His will. Jesus even gave us a model in Luke 11: begin with thanksgiving, move into honesty and surrender, bring requests, confess sin, and pray through God’s promises for strength.
This message challenges us to wake up, cultivate prayer, and be ready for God’s presence—so we build what He desires, not just what looks good in our eyes.
