Hello sprint car fans and welcome to RACECAR Illustrated’s Sprint Car Daily — it’s Tuscarora 50 week, and today we’re diving into everything you need to know about one of the crown jewels of Pennsylvania dirt track racing.

The fifty-eighth annual running of the Tuscarora 50 takes over Port Royal Speedway this weekend, September fourth through sixth, and for three straight nights Juniata County, Pennsylvania, becomes the absolute center of the sprint car world.

Tanner Thorson is getting the hang of this winning thing. Two weeks ago it had taken him 84 tries to crack Kubota High Limit Racing victory lane. Now he’s done it twice in just over two weeks. Abbottstown, PA — Persistent showers halted the Fallen Heroes program at Lincoln Speedway on September 27 after preliminary events. On Sunday the track announced that both A-Mains will now be run during Lincoln’s October 18 season finale.
