    Notes from this episode
THE GOLDEN ALTAR OF INCENSE PART 2 THE HORN OF PRAYER Prayer can be likened to an orchestra. One of the most obvious facts that we see when we look at an orchestra, is that there are a variety of instruments which are played by a number of musicians. And if we had to go further and look at the music score, we will notice music written for the various instruments however when all is combined, we have a harmonious sound. DIFFERENT KINDS OF PRAYER Just as we find a variety of instruments in an orchestra not to mention the variety of music that an orchestra plays, so we find various types of prayer. I Timothy 2:1 Therefore, first of all I urge that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made on behalf of all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Ephesians 6:18 …praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all saints. Prayers of Thanksgiving, Praise & Worship (Appreciation, gratefulness, thanks, praise) Prayers of Confession & Repentance Prayers of Meditation (Contemplation, worship, musings) Prayers of Supplication (Entreaty to the Lord, Cry for Mercy) Prayers of Petition (Making known our requests) Prayers of Warfare Prayers of Intercession (Born out of the heart of God and taken back to God) THE HORN OF INTERCESSION Intercession literally means to come in between—between God and those for whom you are praying. Rom. 8:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. Rom. 8:34…who (Jesus) is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Examples of intercession, Abraham intercedes for Sodom Gen. 18:22-33 and Moses intercedes for Israel Ex. 32:11-13; 33:12-16. The intercessor is God-centered and that which is born out of the heart of God is taken back to God. Ezekiel 22:30 And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none. 31 Therefore I have poured out my indignation upon them. An Intercessor is the one who builds the wall and stands in the gap. Isaiah 59:16 He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no one to intercede; then his own arm brought him salvation, and his righteousness upheld him. As long as there is an intercessor there is hope. INTERCEDE FOR: Those in authority – leaders in the church, government, family and workplace My family – both immediate and extended family members My church – pastors, leaders, members and missionaries My community – people in your city, nation, and world My relationships – friends and co-workers Meditate upon Ephesians 6:18 and 1 Timothy 2:1 and then consider how your prayer life measures up. What does it mean to be a ‘holy and royal priesthood’ (I Peter 2:5,9)? How often do you pray and intercede for others?

    Notes from this episode
Music taken from YouTube THE HOLY PLACE WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH PART 2 WORSHIP IN TRUTH Col. 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. THE TABLE OF SHOWBREAD (YESHUA THE BREAD OF LIFE) A: This points to Yeshua The Bread of Life (John 6:25 – 63) John 6:35 Yeshua said to them, I am the bread of life; whoever comes to Me will never be hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty. B: Part of our worship is partaking in The Lord’s Supper (communion). (I Corinthians 10:15 – 21; 11:23 – 26). I Corinthians 11:23 …The Lord Yeshua, on the night He was betrayed, took matzah; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, “This is My body which is for you. Do this in memory of me.” 25 In the same way, He also took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in memory of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
