THIS RAVE CLUB COLOGNE (1988/89)"TRIBUTE" mixed by the former RAVE CLUB resident and Psycho Thrill Cologne founder Claus Bachor. Recorded live at Cologne's 674.fm studios on Monday, October 24th, 2022, with the original Black Gold from back in those dayz only. And where that was actually the only possible way of reconstruction, since the quality of the original MAXWELL tapes was unfortunately so "down" that they could no longer be remastered (the TDK tapes were always better!).

Just featuring 67 all-vinyl tracks by Prince (Prince Rogers Nelson), Julian Jonah & Linda Muriel, Master C & J feat. Liz Torres, Claussel, Chaka Khan (remixed by Dancin' Danny Dee), Rachel, Phase II (remixed by Blaze), Coldcut feat. Where Psycho Thrill Cologne still belongs 2: House, Garage, Acid House, Hip-House, Industrial, classic Electro, early Detroit Techno / Techno Underground without any compromise.

The RAVE CLUB Cologne opened up its doors in the basement of the property Hohenzollernring 92 [facing former MOROCO] in May of 1988 and managed to immediately gain an enthusiastic attention as a fresh and vibrant club institution in the Dome metro area – at chronological eye level with FRONT and OPERA HOUSE/GRÜNSPAN in Hamburg and even before Berlin’s UFO club or Frankfurt’s OMEN – not only in Western Germany, but also directly on a European scale, for example through great features like FACE and I-D, through its clearly defined and high-quality sound program strictly separated by events and last but not least through its artist gigs [e.g. Adeva, Marshall Jefferson, Kym Mazelle, Todd Terry, EPMD…] and the resident jocks. There were club nights like “BANGO!” for the first time, which were dedicated solely and consequently to House, Acid and early Techno.

JONAH QUAST aka BPN was born and raised in Cologne. From 2012 to 2014 he was a member of the “Tauchgang” crew and organized parties in the Cologne underground. During this time there was also a successful collaboration with Claus Bachor and Psycho Thrill Cologne. Where Quast subsequently played several sets in the now legendary "Psycho Thrill BNKR" somewhere in Cologne. In addition, he has been a founding member of the “3000Rave” crew since 2022 and organizes underground relevant Techno/ BreakBeat parties and raves between Mannheim and Heidelberg. On the in-house record label "3000Rave" and the Mannheim label "zwölfnullsieben" he releases his own tracks on another branch of his work, in addition to his acting career.

In his DJ mix presented here, Jonah embarks on an exciting journey within the framework of the club context he is familiar with. And which competently locates Techno somewhere in the field of tension between BreakBeat, Rave, HalfStep, and Acid. NJOY dis trip!

This strong bass-infected DJ-Mix of another Spyinthehouse "Nightdrive through another Metropolis" once again comes along "UNDER THE RADAR" by Ukrainian DJ young lad and Ivano-Frankivsk rising star Meash.Room.bOy / Vladyslav Lugovatskiy. Who with his massive trip animated mix of BREAK BEAT infected House, Acid, Rave, and UA-Ethno-sounds still knows how to inspire club music on another serious level.

❂ ✪ ❂ ✪ ❂ ✪ ❂ ✪ ❂ ✪ ❂ ✪ ❂ ✪ ❂ ✪

MAESH.ROOM.BOY UA aka Vladyslav Lugovatskiy

discovered Electronic Music as a teenager. The first raves to be done in his hometown of Ivano-Frankivsk, were Detali, VTIXA, and KVADRAT. And were also typical representatives of the Electronic Scene of the Ukrainian Carpathians. But after visiting Rhythm Büro and other Kiev clubs, he became also more and more interested in classic DJing.

Club Music finally pulled him out of a personal depression when MAESH.ROOM.BOY had to end his esports career due to problems with his hands and back either. At that time, his brother got a DJ controller. And Vladyslav practiced so in his free time with this new stuff. And filled the void that arose him after the end of his esports career.

Because he entered the Ukrainian rave culture through Rhythm Büro parties, a significant part of his own signature style consists of a hypnotic motif that turns into his current style of Electro Breaks, Ghetto, and Techno. “I spent my entire life in the Carpathians, so the psychedelic motif is my fetish. And I'm still a continuously learning teenager, so synthetic and fast-paced sound sends me into ecstasy.”
