13-year-old Winona Ryder plays Gemma, an awkward small town religious girl who wants to move away from her small minded community and angry grandfather to go live with her mother in the big city, Fort Worth Texas. Much like Travolta in Urban Cowboy, Winona soon finds that the cultural shift will rock her world.
