Paul Heyman is a huge inspiration to me, so it was an honor to have him as. guest on the Squared Circle Pit. I tell Paul about why he's a huge inspiration to me. We immediately dive into how ECW got away with licensing music, the Grammy nomination ECW got, and ECW nostalgia in general.

I ask Paul to discuss the first concert he went to, and he tells a great story about seeing Led Zeppelin in MSG. We also discuss some great stories of how he snuck into MSG and won over Vince McMahon, Sr.

I am very excited to have MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter) enter the pit today to talk about his roundabout way of getting into punk, metal and hardcore bands. He talks about his favorite Metallica albums, his favorite era of Iron Maiden and the connection between heavy metal and pro wrestling, especially during the Attitude era. MVP talks about his goal of starting a hardcore band. MVP also shares an incredible story of the time he met Macho Man backstage at a Misfits concert.

WWE SummerSlam is this Saturday, August 20th, streaming on Peacock TV. MVP is accompanying Bobby Lashley in the main event against Bill Goldberg for the WWE championship. We briefly discuss this as well.

The former Aleister Black in WWE, now Malakai Black (aka Tommy End) is the latest guest on Squared Circle Pit. We talk about his huge debut in AEW, how it was the plan all along after his release, and what he hopes to accomplish in this new phase of his career. We also talk a lot about how he got into heavy metal, what he's listening to now, who in WWE he used to talk to about heavy metal (some surprising answers), the music he and his wife, Thea Trinidad aka Zelina Vega enjoy together and a brief convo about his atheism. After the interview, I give my thoughts on AEW and a preview of WWE Money in the Bank this Sunday.

A perfect guest for this podcast, and somebody I've been trying to get on for a long time - ROH and NJPW star Brody King sits in on the show today. We talk about Brody's awesome band, God's Hate and when we could expect some live shows. We also go through Brody's career, how he came up with his name, and how "The Butcher" Andy Williams from Every Time I Die was partially responsible, working Madison Square Garden and then doing a drag show lipsync right after, and also his time working on the crew of RuPaul's Drag Race.

I'm very excited to welcome comedian Dan St. Germain to the show. Dan co-hosts WrestleRoasts, a hilarious new podcast where they roast a different wrestling personality every week. You can see their roast of Bret Hart here. I talk to Dan about the link between comedy and wrestling, which wrestlers have the best comedic timing and if anybody ever got upset about any of his roasts. We also discuss the current scene in WWE and AEW. After the interview, I offer some thoughts on New Japan and my predictions for AEW Revolution this Sunday.
