Squared Circle Podcast

Welcome to the Squared Circle Podcast by your host Marie Shadows. Today, 10.24.24, I livestreamed only on YouTube where I talked about my ideas and why I want to do a video/livestream called: The State of AEW Address. I gave choices: A panel of guests or individual interviews to answer questions and have a deep, honest, and open conversation about the state of AEW all because Tony Khan keeps going after twitter commentors while pretending to live in a glass house. I read my discord messages out to my viewers to explain the idea, the choices, and what my brand means and what kind of content I produce.

In this episode, I dive into the recent Twitter drama surrounding JDfromNY's call for honest reviews of AEW and the unexpected turn it took. What started as a great opportunity to bring in new voices for a much-needed discussion on AEW’s current state turned into a familiar pattern of playing it safe. I’ll be addressing Andrew B's dismissive response to my comments and breaking down why JD's decision to stick with the usual suspects missed the mark. We’ll talk about the implications for AEW reviews, the importance of new perspectives in wrestling commentary, and why this situation highlights a bigger issue within the wrestling community.
