Marie Shadows uses Twitter Spaces to interview Amanda Monroe who is a badass manager and referee in the world of pro wrestling. This is her story.
Happy Monday!
On September 15, 2022, I decided to use Twitter Spaces for this interview with Amanda Monroe. The hope and goal of the twitter spaces was to give Amanda Monroe a spotlight and to have wrestling companies hear her story.
If you don’t know what Twitter Spaces, it is a great communicative way to talk to people around the world in real time all with just your phone. No one will know your phone number, so don’t worry. I’ve hosted many Twitter Spaces and I’ve become speaker and listener in many Twitter Spaces. This is a great way to network and make new friends that’ll help grow your content.
I highly suggest using Twitter Spaces.
In this Twitter Spaces exclusive, you’ll hear Amanada’s story.
and more!
Thank you for checking it out!
The podcast episode and thoughts below are ALL MY OPINIONS. All Elite Wrestling always hold a media scrum. A media scrum is a press conference right after a major pay-per-view where members of the media can as press-like questions. For the past 3 years that AEW has been around, every media scrum went well. This on in particular went south faster than anything before.
CM Punk started off talking about Scott Colton, also known as the wrestler Colt Cabana, who is employed by AEW. Everyone thinks that CM Punk was unprovoked and started ranting for the sake of ranting. In that rant, he mentions his feelings towards The Elite — Matt and Nick Jackson and Kenny Omega — and his feelings on Hangman Adam Page.
The only thing I DISAGREE with about Punk’s rant is how he threw Colt Cabana’s mother under the bus by REVEALING that mother and son share a bank account. I give this a lot of thoughtful points. Here are 2 main things:
I talk about Dave Meltzer and how there is this sudden push to make CM Punk look like the bad guy. Sure, he’s a bad guy, a dick, an asshole, but just because he’s revealing things that no one else wants to talk about — because it needs to be talked about if AEW wants to survive — Dave is taking it hard since CM Punk called him out during the press conference. Punk also called out Alverez, too. Punk is still mad about what Alverez said on the podcast.
What provoked CM Punk was very simple. For months, a false report circulated where it accused CM Punk of having a hand in having Colt Cabana get fired. Colt Cabana wasn’t seen on AEW television for a good while, at least a year the same amount of time that CM Punk has been with the company. People speculated and put two-and-two together, and just believed that it was Punk’s fault. So, hearing all the nonsense from fans and online chirpers and that will eventually get to you. So, he set the record straight because he’s the only to have the balls to do so.
Did he do it right? No.
Huge frustrations, like the ones he held onto, needed to be talked about behind closed doors.
Everyone in the wrestling world already gave their opinion. This my opinion looking at everything with different lens. I even talk about the “fight” backstage that is getting reported by one side and then everyone else in wrestling media copies and paste. That’s the telephone game.
Please enjoy the podcast.
This is the AEW Media Call with Tony Khan BEFORE the All Out PPV and AEW Media Scrum.
Kenny Omega vs Will Ospreay is the hot topic in the wrestling world at the moment. Kenny Omega had some words about Ospreay and Jay White. He tells the wrestling world via an interview that he pulled Will Ospreay and Jay White aside to “pass the torch” to them when he’s done and gone with NJPW and that it was their responsibility to carry the company.
Jay White was asked about Kenny’s comments and told us that never happened, that Kenny never pulled him to the side along with Ospreay to even talk about that.
Then an exchange happened between Ospreay and Kenny on Twitter where Kenny had buried Ospreay when the topic was about wrestling and NJPW. I’m fuzzy on the details but it’s something along those line. I will be outlining this whole story for an article, so all the details are correct.
Will Ospreay did an interview Wrestle Inn and told them that he’ll slap Kenny in the face because he truly doesn’t like him. To Ospreay, this isn’t kayfabe but real dislike towards Kenny. Calls Kenny two-faced, a pussy, and a cunt. So, I believed this. Now, I can’t really tell the difference. It’s blended so well.
And in this video, I got over Will Ospreay’s best and most diverse matches he’s ever had in his whole career. I show proof! The next post will be a specific match: Will Ospreay vs Rey Mysterio Jr.
Rey Mysterio Jr (at the time was no longer signed with WWE) a WWE Superstar took on Will Ospreay. Kenny Omega has yet to fight WWE Superstars.
This video is about two things:
There was a report where Tony Khan - CEO of All Elite Wrestling - said in an interview that he doesn’t know how many people were contacted by WWE but talent in AEW was contacted.
There was another report saying that AEW’s Chief Legal Officer Megha — the ONLY lawyer that does double duty for The Jacksonville Jaguars and All Elite Wrestling — sent an email to Nick Khan / Triple H of WWE to do not contact AEW talent.
However, this is what we know:
What is contract tampering?
Simply put is when someone talks to you either buy out your contract or convince you to break your contract to leave one job or another job.
However! Wrestling contracts are all different. What I have in my contract may not be the same for someone else’s contract. And wrestling barley ever plays by the rules. There are “rules” in wrestling, but it doesn’t really get followed. Contract tampering is different in wrestling.
The only successful “contract tampering” is when WWE brought out WCW back in the day and Vince McMahon had enough money just to buy out enough contracts to start the Invasion Angle on Monday Night Raw. All the big-time names such as Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Goldberg, Sting, and more sat at home getting checks from Ted Turner — the owner of WCW at the time.
Good morning! Happy Monday!
This is the first video in a series of 4 to 5 videos coming out this week. I talk about the AEW drama that has been all over the twitter timeline.
This talks about Sammy G’s words. He called Eddie Kingston “a fat piece of shit.”
Here’s the context:
Sammy and Eddie are in a story and will have a match at All Out coming up in September. Sammy decided to cut a promo after his match on Rampage. This promo is supposed to hype up his match with Eddie. The fans chanted: Shut the fuck up! At Sammy. Sammy doesn’t know how to improv so in cheap heel fashions says: Eddie you are a fat piece of shit like all these fans here.
I’m paraphrasing but that’s the gist of it.
Eddie then apologizes for overreacting on the situation. He understands that he was in the wrong.
Sammy G issued a statement on the situation.

Sammy doesn’t take responsibility. This situation was both men’s faults. There is one specific important information detail that’s not in his statement. I asked this in the video, but I’ll ask it here:
If he would have done that then Eddie wouldn’t have been that mad.
Also, extra information: while Sammy G did his promo after his match a pre-taped promo video rolled with Eddie Kingston, Ruby Soho, and Ortiz.
I also ask:
Fans are so tired of Sammy and Tay Conti, thus why they chant this at shows.
This does talk about body shaming / fat shaming. I do explain the difference. In Sammy’s case, it’s safe to say he was saying all that in retaliation to the fans and indirectly to Eddie Kingston. However, it’s still wrong and only further proves that Sammy can’t improvise on the mic to say something better to keep the hype (if there was any) for his match with Eddie heading into All Out.
If this topic bothers you and will invoke an emotional response rather than a logical and factual response, please don’t watch. It’s ok. I don’t ever want to exclude my readers, but my opinions are my own and my explanations are my own. I even talk about how I’m chubby/fat and know I have to lose weight for my own health. So, if someone called me fat, I’ll be ok. That person doesn’t know me or my goals and to simply call me something I already know I am wouldn’t really hurt my feelings.
I didn't like the CM Punk "pipebomb"...listen now.
