Paul encourages the Ephesians by explaining their spiritual position in Christ. We too, as Christian believers, have been chosen by God to be holy and blameless, have an understanding of God's eternal purpose to bring all things together in Christ, and have been sealed with the Holy Spirit.

It is the faith of Jairus and of the women who touched Jesus' cloak that led to Jairus' daughter's healing and the restoration of the woman to full health. It is faith in Christ that counts.

In the Beatitudes, Jesus identifies the attitudes that must characterise those who would come into his kingdom, and the qualities they must demonstrate as citizens of his kingdom.
