Despite being completely cut-off Jonah prays to God, acknowledging him to be sovereign over all things and also able to forgive him despite his failures. Jonah shows us what true faith is about as he praises God even inside the belly of a giant fish. His last words – "Salvation comes from the Lord" – are a powerful statement of truth from someone who knew the reality!
