How do we live in light of the resurrection? Does the evidence for the Messiah, the evidence of the crucifixion and the resurrection have a bearing on how we live as believers? We are called to be witnesses and be community.

The raising of Jesus from the dead confirms him as the Christ, God's Son and (the one with God's authority to be) our Saviour. The two Marys - first witnesses to the empty tomb and to his risen presence - were transformed. Our lives - our past, present and future - can be equally touched by this new life in Christ as we renew our baptism vows on Easter Day! This vision of the risen Christ focuses the church's vision too.

In Gethsemane, we become aware of Jesus' divine glory and his divine humility. He is to be both victor and victim.

Holy Week invites us re-enter the narrative of the last week of Jesus's life.

It is a humbling time as we become aware that we, with his 1st century followers, fall short and let him down.
