Donald focuses on Romans 8: 3, exploring the meaning of three phrases as applied to Jesus and his Cross: ‘sin offering’, ‘in the likeness of sinful man’, and ‘God....by sending his own Son’. ‘Sin offering’ is interpreted in the light of the OT sacrificial system in Leviticus 4. The ‘likeness of sinful man’ indicates the role of Jesus as our representative and substitute, exemplified in the suffering Servant of Isaiah 53.
