It was a great trip to NYC where SIMM students got to meet with alumni at many firms and get to see what it is like on "Wall Street"---although technically most of the jobs were off of Wall Street! Great trip.
Every year I try to do a final class that serves as a "first Graduation Address" This year I asked my Facebook Friends to contribute advice fo graduating current students (and others).
I messed up a few times...I am not sure if one of the people I mentioned was in Iran and Iraq, and I looked on FB (pictures) and remembered who another student was, but overall I am happy with it. I hope you enjoy it! So I am very sorry Laurie!!
Take what you have learned and go make the world a better place!
Thank you for coming to Bonas. Thank you for being great. Please stay in touch! Enjoy!

Update: here is the mantra list: http://bonaresponds.blogspot.com/2013/05/bonaresponds-mantrasguiding-thoughts.html
Chris Ekimoff is a 2008 MBA and Accounting BBA alum who works in the DC area. His resume is very impressive: Investigative Accountant & Litigation Consultant CPA, CFE, MAFF, CGMA, MBA.
Like most alumni, he definitely bleeds brown!
Topics include the new Swan Business Building, the changing Accounting environment, how Bonas helped shape him, his favorite memories from SBU, and more.
He is very active in social media. Follow him at https://twitter.com/EkimoffCPA
Sammi Arenas sits down and speaks with the new SIMM leaders. They take over management of the class/fund on April 1st in order to be mentored for 6 weeks by former leaders before graduation.
Mike Lawhead (2015) was in SIMM for 4 years and was the Energy Fund leader and general manager. He was on the soccer team and helped do a soccer collection with BonaResponds. He is a great guy!
in this interview, he talks about his first year out of school, offers some advice to students and the School of Business, and attempts to answer the question: "what is a Bonnie?"
This is Part I of an interview with the Bonaventure SIMM student leaders. The topics include an overview of the program, who it helps the students, and more.
Unfortunately, I ran out of time (always a faculty meeting), so we cut is short and will have a second part soon.
