This week we see from Mark 15 that Jesus died in our place. Jesus took our place when he was forsaken by God. Jesus did these things and more for us. Jesus connects with us and loves us. 

This week we see from Mark 14 that we should join together with Jesus and support him as He goes to die to ransom us. This is gut-wrenching, hard and painful. Let’s be on guard, stay awake, and follow Jesus.

Is it the end of the world? No one really knows. This week Jesus will warn us in Mark 13 that while no one knows, we should be on guard, depend on Jesus alone and be ready for his return.

What does it look like to truly love God and love others? This week we'll see Jesus show us in Mark 12:13-44 what it looks like for God’s people to love God and love others, even though the religious leaders didn’t get it.

When Jesus finally comes to the impressive temple he’s not impressed. Instead he passes judgment on its showy, plastic religion and calls his people to authentic, fruitful faith. This week we'll see from Mark 11:1-12:12 that while showy, plastic religion only leads to judgment, through Jesus we can have fruitful faith.

“What do you want me to do for you?” Imagine Jesus’ asked you this. What might you say? We'll see Jesus ask two people this question in Mark 10:32-52 revealing that the road to true glory is the road of the cross, both for Jesus and for us as we follow him.

What must we do to have eternal life? It might not be what you think. We'll see from Mark 10:13-31 that the only way to have eternal life is to depend on Jesus like a child and follow him.

It’s a beautiful thing to see someone truly serving others. This week we'll see from Mark 9:30-10:12 how following our suffering, servant king means serving others, taking sin seriously and being faithful in marriage.

At times, all of us struggle with doubt and anxiety. This week we'll see from Mark 9:14-29 how in our doubts and anxieties, we can cry out to Jesus in faith because of his mighty power over evil and death.

It’s worth listening closely to Jesus. This week Doug, one of our elders, will show us from Mark 9:2-13 how Jesus is worth listening to because he is the Christ, the Son of God and the suffering King.
