Missouri State Senator Steven Roberts and Senator Karla May are hosting a Town Hall this evening with the St Louis Police Commissioners. The transition of oversight of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police from local to state control is underway.
In June, Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe named his appointments to that state board. They need to win approval of the State Senators in the district. He says he is concerned by the make-up of the board, noting only one person 'of color' and just one woman on the board. It kicks off at 6 p.m. in Harris-Stowe State University's Henry Givens Jr. Administration Building.
