Life is a gift, and we are invited to roll our sleeves up and get stuck in.

Everything we have is a gift from God.

Jesus meets us on the road and opens our eyes to see and know him.

In the resurrection, death is swallowed up in victory, rendered ineffectual and powerless by the life of Christ.

We all have power, but how we use that power is different when we follow Christ.

David prayed for the downfall of his enemies, but Jesus invites us into a different way of living, as we wait for God's ultimate rescue and deliverance

We hear his voice and we follow.

The Eastern Orthodox describes the Season of Lent as a time of "joyful sorrow" or "bright sadness". We make space for repentance and sacrifice...but we also make room for joy and delighting in the Saviour.

There are other ideas, ideals and practices that compete for our trust, promising to give us security and peace, but God calls us to look to him.

When the storms of life come we pray for them to go away, yet sometimes they remain for a long time. In those times, God will meet with us in the middle of the storm.
