The Holy Spirit

Spiritual War 1) our sinful self; 2) the world; 3) the devil. We can't win on our own

God sent the Holy Spirit to be our advocate. We are never alone. We need to listen for the Holy Spirit's whisper as he calls us, enlightens us, gathers us, & sanctifies us.

We are created, chosen, & called by God. THree special gifts, common home, blood, & grace. Four things can cause family disturbances, disagreement, jealousy, alliance, & distance.

Church is different now then in time of Acts. We need to always be ready for His return. As in Acts, we need to listen, have fellowship, breaking of the bread & prayer. We need to have glad & generous hearts & have good will of people outside of community.

Our heart is more than an organ, it is for our emotional & spiritual wholeness, God want our heart to be whole & healed

How do we remember doubting Thomas, how does God remember him or us. God shows us love, appreciation, & acceptance.

On this night, we look at the gifts that are found in communion. These gifts include the promise of God's love and forgiveness. It also includes the gift of connectedness. We are reminded that we are connected to our ancestors, the entire body of Christ, and the Saints that went before us.
