In this homily given at St Pat's on Palm Sunday, April 2 2023, Fr Miguel preaches on how the Word of God should guide our life in imitation of Jesus, who chose to live his life on earth according to the Word of God; a choice we see clearly on Palm Sunday.

In this homily given at St Pat's on March 26, 2023, Fr Mathias correlates how Jesus responds to Martha and Mary in their suffering at the death of Lazarus is how he responds to us.  Jesus weeps in our suffering and speaks his promise of the resurrection.  In saying to Martha that he is the Resurrection and the Life, Jesus identifies himself with the fullness of hope we all long for.  Because he won't force us to live with him forever, Jesus invites us to faith in him as the Resurrection and the Life.  He invites us to a personal adherence to himself, learning from him, depending on him and worshipping him.  Father ends his homily with a short prayer meditation in which we listen to God's voice of hope in our losses and to respond to Jesus with faith like Martha.

In this homily given at St. Pat's on Sunday, March 5th, 2023, Dcn. Kevin preaches on how Jesus revealed himself to Peter, James, and John in His transfigured glory so that they may be strengthened in the hour of his coming Passion. He wants to reveal His manifest presence to you as well so that you may be strength and convicted of who he is. 

In this homily given at St Pat's on February 19, 2023, Fr Mathias expounds on what is likely Jesus' most radical and difficult moral teaching: loving our enemies. It is precisely in loving our enemies that will cause us to stick out in the world and that's what he wants.  The true measure of our love is not how much we loved those who loved us, but how much we loved those who do evil to us and set themselves against us. The call to holiness is high and can be received well when we remember that when we made ourselves enemies of God by rebelling against his love, he chose not to destroy us but to love us and take our destruction against himself so we can live.  At the end of the homily, Father exhorts parishioners to pray to stick out in the world and imitate Jesus so that we would live as children of our loving Father.
