Music helps us remember. Using the example of his grandfathers Alzheimer's disease progressing and the power of the mind when music was played, Pastor Anderson illustrates the way scripture is filled with the powerful songs of God's people, and what it does for us. These songs help the people remember who they are, all they have been through and who God is. When the music stops, sin creeps in, they turn away = spiritual alzheimer's. Sin makes us forget...blinds us to the memories of God's grace and faithfulness...and takes...and takes...and takes. What does the spirit do through songs? It helps to always remember who we are, who God is, and to know his love. Keep the music going.

Dr. Daniel Paavola discuss Zachariah and his faith...and at a moment in time, his lack of faith when he was met with the angel Gabriel and told that, while older, his wife Elizabeth would bear his son. This lack of faith did have a consequence...he was not able to speak until the miraculous day when Elizabeth bore their son John. How do we react when God grants us with gifts and gives us what we need? Do we accept God and his faithful promises, or do we ask, "Really, God?"

Only when an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream did he fully understand and accept God's will for Mary and her future son, Jesus. Rev. Dr. Timothy Maschke discuss how John the Baptist is a transitional figure in the Book of Mark, as he prepares the way for Jesus and fulfilled Isaiah’s prophecy, “Prepare the way for the Lord; clear a straight path for him.” John the Baptist’s main objective was to keep the focus on Jesus as depicted in the German painting, "Isenheim Altarpiece."  They also discuss their own experience with the transformational role God had in their lives.
