In this story, we hear the message of how grace abounds and that the Spirit is constantly at work, even when we may not be able to see it. Indeed, there is a reason for hope right now.

Daily life can be exhausting, but so too is our spiritual life. In a world that doesn't seem to want to embrace Christ's way of inclusive love, we find rest in the hope of that very same love.

A love rooted in humility and grace.

Jesus instructs us in Matthew 10 to take up our cross and follow him. It’s a costly demand, but one that has the neverending grace and love of God to journey with us throughout. Do not fear, Jesus says. God’s love will always remain.

From a place of deep care and compassion for those in need, Jesus shares his need for co-laborers in his work of healing and restoration. We too share this work as disciples called to see others and the world God made.

As we celebrate the beginning of Pride Month, we hear a passage from the gospel of Matthew about how Christ’s mercy is waiting for all of us. In our faith, we will be made well.
