The Easter season reminds us resurrection is something we participate in, not just something we celebrate. Especially as we are flooded with news of war, may we hold fast to the gospel promise that God’s love will always prevail.

Easter is a day of joy filled with shouts of "Alleluia!" yet fear still lingers in the world. Resurrection is God's victory over death and reassurance that God meets us in the midst of our fear, giving us hope in Christ's love.

On Good Friday, we remember how the mission God entrusted to Jesus comes to its end. As we sit in the story of the cross, we are reminded of the power resurrection has in the face of death. It is a story of love and life for all.

Palm Sunday tells the story of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, at a moment filled with fragile possibility: would Jesus liberate the crowd gathered from their oppression? Or would the people’s hope be forever shattered?

In the midst of our Lenten journey, we hear the story of Jesus healing a man blind from birth in the gospel of John. We hear how God’s love for us is displayed through the diversity of humanity, and promised in our baptism.

An unnamed woman at a well in Samaria discovers the truth of Christ as “Living Water” allowing her divine imagination to sharing her faith with her community. We certainly need this Living Water now in these uncertain times.

The story of Nicodemus coming to Jesus by night reveals confusion of what God is doing through Jesus. Yet God will always bless us no matter what part of the journey we are on, and God’s love will always be waiting for us at the end.

Bread plays a prominent role in our daily lives, as well as in our life of faith. From bread on our communion table to Christ as the “Bread of Life,” and even bread in our scriptures today, bread is a gift from God meant to be shared.

Faith can be a noisy affair, but Jesus encourages us to leave behind the trumpets as we learn to re-center our faith around relationships. As we enter Lent, we seek peace within.

The Transfiguration is a scene of divine power and majesty, a reminder of who Jesus is and our need to listen to him. Listening can be difficult, especially when we don’t like what we hear. Regardless, God is calling, and we must follow.
