Giving away possessions is actually easy for us in the affluent West, the challenges come when we ask questions as to why we need so much. The challenge this week is to engage with the question 'who most needs the things I possess?'

Simon begins our Lent sermon series looking at the book '7:an experimental mutiny against excess' by Jen Hatmaker looking at why the author decided to simplify not sacrifice and what the purpose of fasting is. This week we look at our relationship with food and what is the history of food fasts in the Christian tradition.

We welcome back Shaun and Shauna Rattigan having commissioned them 3 years ago to interim ministry across the Diocese of Sheffield. They reported back on what God has been doing through this ministry and, using Acts 18:24-28 and the story of Apollos, Priscilla and Aquila, reflected on 'letting people go' and seeing God grow his kingdom and his Church.
