She's the co-director of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance, a policy and advocacy group. They discuss a case study out of North Dakota, where every pharmacy is a small business owned by a real pharmacist, thanks to a law from the 1960s. You would struggle to find a CVS or Walmart pharmacy in the entire state, and it's led to better competition and even lower prescription drug prices.
