2.4 Million Households Off Food Stamps Under Trump | Breitbart
— More than 2.4 million households discontinued their participation in the nation’s food stamp program since President Donald Trump’s first full month in office in 2017, according to the latest U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) data.
The most recent USDA data showed that 2,424,901 families stopped using food stamps under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), between February 2017— when Trump finished his first full month as president— and October 2019.
Right Direction or Wrong Track - Rasmussen Reports®
— Forty-five percent (45%) of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey for the week ending January 16, 2020.
This week’s finding is up five points from a week ago, and is the highest finding since February 2017. By comparison, this number ran in the mid- to upper 20s for much of 2016, President Obama's last full year in office.

The Center for Bible Engagement seeks to answer the question: Why do so many people own Bibles but so few read them? The CBE goes beyond simple Bible usage statistics to consider attitudes and behaviors that significantly impact spiritual growth and a person's relationship with God. The primary goal of the CBE is to develop tools and resources that will engage people with God's Word.

We most want things to be as we “think they should be” as opposed to how they truly are. Because of this we insist that people should never shoot up schools or churches or post offices when the reality is that anyone can shoot up any place regardless of laws passed or our feelings.
Evil exists and can manifest itself at any time or place. This fact does nothing to dull our shock or anger at events, but it should inform our actions going forward.
The Jewish community in New York is currently grappling with the dissonance of who they are - a religious community with multi-generational roots in family styled neighborhoods with a history of placid security - an American success story. And who their new neighbors are: anti-semites jealous of the prosperity Jews have created. The increase in attacks on American Jews in NYC has caused outsiders to insist that they arm themselves and defend their way of life. In response many have said “that is not who we are, that is not our way!” Which is a refusal to acknowledge the change in circumstances.
Enter the OODA Loop. To believe that one does not need to adjust to manage new circumstances is to be stuck in a closed system.

Supreme Court Declines Inmate's Request for Sex Reassignment Surgery | National Review
— The Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a convicted murderer’s appeal to receive gender reassignment surgery, leaving in place a lower court’s ruling in favor of the Texas prison officials who refused the inmate the procedure.
The court rejected the appeal of a Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling by transgender inmate Vanessa Lynn Gibson, formerly known as Scott Gibson, who claimed the prison’s refusal to grant the surgery violates the Constitution’s Eighth Amendment, which bans cruel and unusual punishment.

— House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) on Tuesday indicated that Democrats must impeach President Trump quickly in order to stop him from prevailing in the 2020 presidential election.
Democrats on Tuesday unveiled two articles of impeachment against the president: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Notably, neither allege a high crime or misdemeanor. Noticeably absent was the Democrats’ longheld appeal to bribery, extortion, or treason.
