Peter and the Starcatcher: Brian, Savanah, and Jordan, had to put up with a sick, grumpy, and confused Kyle tonight as they talked about The Village Theatre’s upcoming production of Peter and the Starcatcher. Their patience should earn them some kind of medal.
PETER AND THE STAR CATCHER
June 2nd - 11th
The Village Players Theatre
"A wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson's best-selling novels, Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old tale of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a Peter Pan). From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair...and the bonds of friendship, duty, and love."

International Theatre Production: A lot happens behind the scenes in live theatre. Without scenery, lighting, props, costumes and more – there’s no magic on stage. With a BFA in international theatre production, you’ll get behind the magic. We had a GREAT conversation with Ohio Northern Technical Director, Brian Phillips. He educated us on their BFA International Theatre Production, degree. If you have even the smallest interest in working backstage professionally, you'll need to listen to this episode.

A unique program focuses on theatrical design, production and stage management – in the U.S. and internationally. You’ll graduate with a solid knowledge of the cultural and practical differences in theatre production, which will prepare you for a wide range of careers in theatre, opera and touring productions.
We may be small, but our opportunities are big. In fact, our theatre program rivals what you’d find at a conservatory. Our international theatre production students stage dozens of campus and community productions. They interact with renowned designers, directors, playwrights and choreographers from the U.S. and countries like Scotland, Estonia, Ireland, Mexico and England. They travel each year to the United States Institute of Theatre Technology conference so our students can make contacts with employers and companies from all over the United States. They land incredible internships with theatre companies, and they study abroad.
Here, you’ll be part of a family. You’ll enjoy small class sizes and amazing friendships. Our distinguished professors will bring out the best in you from the moment you arrive on campus until you graduate. They will become personally invested in your success.
On campus, you’ll study and work in top-notch facilities with the latest equipment. The Freed Center for the Performing Arts includes a 550-seat proscenium theatre, a 132-seat studio theatre, rehearsal rooms, scenic and costume shops, smart classrooms, computer lab and design studio.

In 1995, a handful of forgotten suitcases were discovered in the recently closed Willard Psychiatric Center in upstate New York, untouched since their owners checked in many years before. Inspired by the photographs of these bags taken by Jon Crispin, The Willard Suitcases is a world-premiere musical that imagines the lives that packed these bags, some funny, some strange, some tragic, and all very, very human.
