Our guest today is the incredible Kenny Passarelli. He is one of the hidden architects of '70s rock. He helped create the sound of Joe Walsh's Barnstorm, co-wrote 'Rocky Mountain Way,' held down the low end for Elton John at the height of superstardom, recorded with Stephen Stills, Dan Fogelberg and Hall & Oates, and others — and, in a twist of fate, helped launch our own Stanley Sheldon's journey with Peter Frampton. Listen to Kenny and Stan talk about their early days in Colorado, how their paths intertwined, and some anecdotes that you've never heard anywhere else!
Part 2 of our "getting to know your co-host." We left off from Episode 1 at the time Frampton Comes Alive had just been recorded and Stan's life was about to change. We hear about the sudden stardom surrounding being a part of a #1 best-selling record, followed by his career with Warren Zevon, Ronin, Lou Gramm, and others. Stan talks about his addiction, recovery, getting his degrees in Environmental and Latin Studies, and what he's up to today. It's a great episode!!
Hello and welcome to our show, where rock fan Grant Ritchey and legendary bassist Stanley Sheldon talk about all things classic rock. In our inaugural episode, we get to know Mr. Stan Sheldon and the wild, strange trip he's been on for 60 years. Enjoy!
