Christine Pittsley, the special projects director of the Museum of Connecticut History at the Connecticut State Library is a Navy veteran and historian who's dedicated her professional career to studying the Connecticut National Guard's 1-102nd Infantry Regiment's efforts during World War I in France. This has led her to become the co-founder of "Digging into History", an experimental educational program that brings Connecticut and French students together to learn about our shared past. Most recently, she led a battlefield tour in France where participants were able to explore the trenches where Connecticut Guardsmen fought in the First World War.

We talked with Capt. Scott Stone, an infantry officer with the Connecticut National Guard's 1-102nd Infantry Regiment, and a member of the U.S. Army's 2023 Edelweiss Raid, the "unofficial" world military mountaineering competition in Austria.
