Data points noted Wisconsin’s low divorce rate and long marriage duration, while cautions covered cohabitation, delayed marriage, below-replacement birth rates, and the moral problems tied to certain contraceptives and IVF. She also celebrated Planned Parenthood clinic pauses and closures, warned about cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers, and called pastors to teach clearly on life, marriage, and religious freedom.

Every day, we are processing probably more info than most people ever did in a lifetime in previous generations. We listen to preachers, podcasts, YouTubes, and we read volumes some days. Are we really listening critically? What about pre-texts and presumptions? We all bring with us various biases, experiences, flaws and flesh. But the Bible is unique, isn’t it? Don’t we want a firm foundation? Are we even concerned about said biases and preconceptions, in that they can cause a cracked foundation? Tim and Mary take a look at this week’s news cycle, as powerful people line up around the globe to play their part. How will history – brief though it may be in the prophetic scheme of things – treat the peace initiative that was so loudly lauded this week? What exactly is being agreed to, within the framework of Israel’s enemies who are still Israel’s enemies? Time will tell, and prophecy will be the loudest voice. Meanwhile, Islam, which is usually the loudest voice in this age, continues it’s creep around our nation to bite and devour any civilization that will open the gate to them. The Pentagon has approved Qatari presence at an air base in Idaho, and many are suggesting that this is a tremendous breach in national security. What could possibly go wrong? We discuss the Ai Stargate project, whose name is suggestive of something supernatural. No one discusses the spiritual aspect of all this, but eventually that, too, will be revealed. Government shutdowns, antisemitism, lawlessness are all making headlines right now, and all worth watching.

Mary welcomes first time guest to the podcast Pastor/Dr. Richard Schmidt to discuss current events. Richard has been an avid student of the Word of God for over 45 years. After giving his life to Christ during a Chicago revival meeting, he immediately immersed himself into evangelism and the study of Scripture, graduating with both a B.S. and M.A. in Pastoral Theology/Christian Education. Early in his ministry, Rich traveled with Evangelist Joe Boyd and preached in various churches and venues, including Chicago’s Pacific Garden Mission. Upon college graduation and ordination, Rich and his wife, Valori, moved to Milwaukee, WI to church plant. After the church plant was successfully merged with another, Rich joined the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office to support his young family, while simultaneously serving as an Assistant Pastor. He is currently the pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church just south of Milwaukee and an in-demand speaker. Today we chat about the rampant lawlessness in our nation and how we got here politically and prophetically. We also look at the current peace initiative in Israel, and what are we to expect when there’s a victory lap going on, but we all know that Israel’s enemies haven’t truly had a change of heart. Today, with biblical illiteracy at an all time high, it stands to reason that Christians have no meat on their bones when it comes to the systematic study of prophecy. Whereas formerly, the topics of prophecy were centered around Israel, a global government, a global spirituality and a world wide economy powered by technology, suddenly everything is prophetic, and it’s getting noisier out there. Time to bring things back into focus. And there are more blood moons coming, which means sensationalizing the heavens will also be rampant. Who is teaching this and why? We also discuss the New Wine Pentecost movement. What is it, is it biblical? Is it date setting at the core? Who is promoting it and why should we care? Sometimes following social media Bible prophecy sites more resembles a nursery rhyme than the truth. A cat, playing a fiddle, a cow and the moon makes more sense most days.
