In our final segment today we cover a news story from our legal system that could have a huge impact on Christian Churches and pastors financially. It appears a form of religious persecution against pastors has just been declared law. For leaders who have not been speaking up about religious freedoms and social issues, I wonder if this might open their eyes now that it is hitting home for them personally.

In our first segment, we go back to the Bible: Paul's letter to the Galatians was a scathing rebuke of a church who had abandoned the simple message of the gospel--sinful men saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It seems evident that the Galatian Church had fallen for a false gospel based on human works, and Paul had to sternly yet lovingly rebuke them and remind them of the true gospel of salvation.

Pastor Mike Abendroth of No Compromise Radio joins us to look at the many false gospels people in America are falling for these days. From thinking our human works merit forgiveness and salvation to the growing belief of universal salvation for all men, we look at how easily the Apostle Paul would today say "You foolish Americans! Who has bewitched you?"

When we step back and look at our nation in the big picture, it is not an encouraging view. Sixty million babies have been murdered through abortion; violence and hatred are on the rise; politicians and leaders are seeking answers from man rather than God, and young people wondering if God made a mistake with their gender. Sadly, the Church generally seems to have little power or influence to produce biblical change and defend the truth.

And yet, the gates of hell will not prevail against Jesus' church, and the gospel is being preached around the world leading thousands to saving faith in Christ every day, even in the darkness of Muslim dominated nations.

One of those men of God leading the charge is Elijah Abraham, a former Muslim now committed disciple of Jesus Christ. He travels the world equipping believers to share the gospel and become committed disciples of Jesus. Elijah has noticed a stark contrast to how we view church and Christianity in our nation compared to new believers living in places where just proclaiming Jesus might cost you everything!

Colorado cake baker Jack Phillips' case will be heard in the U.S. Supreme Court in the coming weeks and months. What is at stake here is the guarantee in the Constitution of religious conscience and freedom. And now the Trump Administration is weighing in, clearly on the side to defend religious conscience in society and the workplace. The final decision of the Supreme Court, probably in early 2018, will be monumental with lasting effects. If Phillips loses, the argument can be made that religious conscience and conviction is a thing of the past. This will put Christians in a very precarious situation and force many of us to choose God's law and truth or man's. We'll discuss the latest Presidential Executive Order on the subject this morning.

In our first segment Robert Meyer of Renew America is here to discuss the issue of faith. The Bible gives us a clear definition of exactly what faith is and Robert discusses how people are embracing a different definition.

The City of Manitowoc, Wisconsin kicks off its Windigo Fest tonight. "Windigo" is an American Indian folklore about a cannibalistic monster and evil spirit who allegedly possesses humans and becomes monstrous. There is even a modern medical term associated with it these days called "Windigo Psychosis." Despite protests and concerns from some citizens, the city is allowing this dark event and some are very concerned the city is opening its arms to demonic presence and influence.

And guess who is kicking off the event? Opening with "some prayers for healing from the evil violence shaking our nation," is a local Presbyterian pastor. So pastor, you are endorsing and participating in an event that celebrates violence and spiritual possession, while praying against violence in our nation?

We also share your comments and questions from the week, including comments from students who received varying reactions to bringing their bibles to school yesterday, gun control, understanding the liberal mindset, and what to do when your children argue with you about going to church.

No, we are not talking about President Trump or Congress; we are talking about the hard-working, dedicated men who heed God's calling to be a pastor. According to recent studies, many of these dedicated men are tired, discouraged, and often feel alone.

We have discussed the reality that there are some famous mega-church "celebrity" pastors who have adopted the church growth movement teachings of Peter Drucker, Rick Warren, or the Willow Creek Model. Some have amassed large churches where they manage affairs more as a CEO would, with concern about counting nickels and noses. Some of them live an extremely luxurious life - not wrong in and of itself - off of the money they have made.

But today, we look at the state of the majority: hard-working, dedicated pastors of generally smaller churches, committed to making disciples of Jesus Christ and faithfully teaching the Word. By most indications they are over-worked, under paid and growing more discouraged as the years go on. As church members, what responsibility do we bear in this crisis? And what can we do to come along side them and help?

We're also joined by Julaine Appling of Wisconsin Family Action to discuss new legislative actions to increase abortion restrictions, explain the red tape in the U.S. Senate, and update us on a Wisconsin transgender case in a very liberal district where the school took a very surprising stance.

The senseless shooting of hundreds and murder of 59 people in Las Vegas by a man with no apparent history of violence, criminal activity or religious or political affiliation has experts baffled, looking for answers to this horrible tragedy.

And, as was easily predictable, liberal politicians immediately jumped in to take advantage of this tragedy and push their agenda for more gun control laws. This twisted criminal obviously violated several gun restriction laws already in place, but something about the liberal mindset seems to say "Well, we need more laws and that should do it!"

As most liberals push gun control and most conservatives defend the Second Amendment, no leader in Washington seems interested in talking about the real cause: our nation, which originally pledged its allegiance to God's Law and principles, has abandoned everything God teaches us about life and morality in His Word.

In the meantime, we have young children looking for answers and guidance as they grow up in a culture where violence is around every corner. They are bombarded by content on television, movies, music and in video games that glorify violence and sexuality; and thousands of babies are aborted every day while they are being told the gender they were given by God might have been "a mistake."

Tina Griffin of Counter Culture Mom joins us to sort through the lies and discuss how to guide and protect our children from a culture bent on destroying their moral fabric and very soul.

Let's start with some biblical history: God tells Abraham (Abram) that he will give him a son and his descendants will be as numerous as the stars and a great nation. Sarah, Abram's wife, is very old and convinced that God has closed her womb, so she tells Abram to have sex with her Egyptian servant, Hagar, to birth a son. They did have a son, Ishmael, and Sarah was mad at Hagar for doing what she commanded her to do.

But God was still faithful and true and gave Abram a son through Sarah, Isaac, as his legitimate heir. Ishmael, not part of God's plan for Israel, is sent away and fathers the Arab nations that today war against the Israelites. Instead of waiting on and trusting God, Abram birthed an "Ishmael" and all sorts of problems as a result.

Dave Wager joins us this morning to discuss how we as believers continue to "birth Ishmaels" in our lives, causing problems because we are outside of God's will.

In our final two segments this morning we share our thoughts on the tragic mass murder at a Las Vegas concert- 50 killed and over 400 wounded in what is now the deadliest shooting attack carried out on American soil.

We will also discuss a Minnesota couple being sued and punished by the state of Minnesota because of their Christian values and beliefs. And we ask the question "Has America gone beyond the point of redemption in God's eyes?"
