As Christians how do we understand the events we see happening and stay focused on God? How do we battle against discouragement and stay focused on God's commands to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations?

We also discussed the racial division and unrest in America including the Leftist-funded Black Lives Matter movement, as well as an important DVD on U.S. presidents and Israel.

Our nation and the world is reaching a level of anger, bitterness and polarization that it has never experienced. Conservatives and progressives cannot seem to agree on anything, much less have constructive dialogue in solving problems. Finger pointing, accusations and hateful rhetoric rule the day, as well as a lack of logic, rational thought and humility. But as Christians we are called to be a distinct people, above the hateful rhetoric of this world. It is easy to become overwhelmed and get dragged down into the mud these days. How do we avoid being influenced by the world of hateful rhetoric and division? As the dust settles from very intense racial protests last night, we discuss this crucial challenge. In our first segment, we check in with Doug Wakefield to look at macro economics from a Christian perspective. Is the bubble about to burst?

Battle lines are being drawn in Iowa over an issue of free speech and expression that could have chilling effects for Christian Churches. Julaine Appling discusses the status of the legislative and judicial wars being fought over abortion and transgenderism on today's program.

Our guest today, Jay Seegert of the Creation Education Center discusses why the "age of the earth" argument is important to Christians. We also look at the stark contrasts to what our founders believed and what America represents today. From Harvard to Yale, from the Supreme Court to the local courts and the public school system, historically, the theme remained the same — God's Word was to be the foundation on which America was built!

As yet another example, consider the 1642 Rules and Precepts of Harvard University founded by Reverend John Harvard: "Let every student be plainly instructed, and earnestly pressed to consider well, the main end of his life and studies is, to know God and Jesus Christ which is eternal life (John 17:3)." The Rules continue, "and therefore to lay Christ in the bottom, as the only foundation of all sound knowledge and learning."

Most public schools and universities abandoned Christ and the Scriptures decades ago so our question is: Whose 'truth' are they teaching these days? It certainly is not God's truth.

As the world continues its march toward redefining good and evil, Christians face increasing challenges in living as Jesus taught us to live.
