On this show my good Friend Larry Wilson explains how as a child he discoverd magic and kind's fell into performing. Of course that led to a life-long career as an entertainer and being chosen Comic/Magician of the Year 2019.
Very funny stories and good information...Enjoy, Listen & Share!
Larry Wilson, a professional magician who embarked on his magical journey at the tender age of eight or nine, believes that the allure of magic intensifies during puberty. He views magic as a powerful tool for preteens to forge a unique identity, offering them a sense of empowerment and belonging during a time often marked by uncertainty and a lack of control. Wilson's early experiences performing at kids' birthday parties honed his skills in audience management, a critical asset that helped him transition from an enthusiastic teenager to a professional magician. For Wilson, magic is not just a form of entertainment but also a means of social interaction and personal development, enabling young individuals to navigate the complexities of adolescence with a touch of wonder and mystery.

I recently had the opportunity to produce a fundraiser for a great organization in Placerville CA. called M.O.R.E. (Adult Rehabilitation Center), and my headliner was Dennis Blair. You may have caught his interview earlier this year (if not, go back and listen...amazing story!). This is a Live recording from that event, and Dennis did really well with the audience with his Musical Comedy...very entertaining!

Back in 1994, Boz Skaggs was promoting a new album called "Some Change" and I happen to be in the radio station when he came in. Mr Skaggs does three songs, two from the new album and his biggest hit..."Lowdown". Backing him up on organ and with some vocals is a Friend of mine...Steve Stizzo...a local musician and Friend of the station DJ's...Paul Robins & Phil Cowen. It was a very memorable moment for me, and I wanted to share it with my audience...don't worry, back to standup comedy next week!

Wow! This was a fun show to edit, I found some old tapes of acts that worked for me back in the early 90's...many of whom you may not recognize; but all Hilarious!
On this show, there are short comedy sets by: Jake Johannsen, John Henton, Wendy Liebman, Kevin Meany, Dennis Blair, Lew Schnieder, John Mendoza, Bill Hicks, and Alan Havey. Really, loads of talent on this show...Enjoy!
Comedy routines about family dynamics and tight pants offer rich material for humor, as they tap into relatable experiences and cultural quirks that resonate with a wide audience. The announcer finds humor in the absurdity of celebrities like Prince and Michael Jackson, and he amusingly reflects on his strict parents disapproving of tight pants, adding a personal touch to his routine. His perspective highlights the comedic gold in everyday situations and societal norms. On the other hand, R. Scott Edwards brings a diverse range of personal anecdotes to his comedy, from shopping at Sears to his experiences as a taxi driver and secretary, often employing self-deprecating humor. Together, these comedians create a tapestry of humor that is both relatable and entertaining, showcasing their unique styles and experiences.
