Matthew presents another song from The Garage!

It's a return to form this week! Picard has us on the edge of our seats, and we're having fun talking synthetic psychics, time travel, possible connections to Chabon's Calypso and Discovery, plus possible answers about the economy of Earth and allegorical ties to our own current climate! We get down on Romulan/Federation conspiracies, some favorite quotes, and listener feedback! It was a fun time! Plus, you'll never guess what Dave thought Matt said about Soji's mom!

Matthew Carroll drops another song based on Star Trek: Picard!

'Picard' loses us in many ways this week! Convenient magic box technobabble problem solving, a plodding narrative, and (possibly) spiteful retconning are among the reasons this episode felt less like a love letter and more like a flaming bag of poo on our porch.

Matthew has written a song about this week's episode and here it is as promised!

After nearly 20 years, we are FINALLY following a BRAND new adventure with Jean-Luc Picard! Without giving any spoilers, this is a terrific episode! It was everything we wanted and more! We're talking plot, spoilers, and theories about what might be down the road for our beloved Jean-Luc!

It's the last entry on our Primer to Picard, and this episode we're talking about the divisive Star Trek: Nemesis! We're discussing how the film holds up, how it might tie into the upcoming Star Trek: Picard series, our favorite quotes, and trivia! Plus, a brand new 'Nemesis'-inspired song from Matt's band The Garage!

We're almost to the finish line on our Primer to Picard, and this episode we're talking about the (almost) universally beloved Star Trek: First Contact! We're discussing how the film holds up 24 years later, how it might tie into the upcoming Star Trek: Picard series, our favorite quotes, and trivia! Plus, a brand new 'First Contact'-inspired song from Matt's band The Garage!

On the road to Picard, one must find themselves considering the seventh Star Trek film, Generations. Jean Luc's trials and tribulations are substantial in this piece, and we're considering how this might play into the future of Star Trek, as well as to judge it on its own merits.

The newest Short Trek is doing a little setup for the upcoming Picard series, and we have plenty to talk about in terms of who the"rogue synths" might be!
