Star Trek Universe

It takes a bloodthirsty captain to kill a bloodthirsty cloud, maman! We're talking all about Jim Kirk's obsession with a vampire cloud creature who killed half his crew 11 years ago! More Moby Dick, maman! Another cloud creature! Another vampire, too. This one is a triple-threat retread, maman!

Effie and Dave fight to be vended as thralls while wearing tin foil bikinis and getting eye-effed by Galt! Lord have mercy upon us, maman! It'll be no time before we're served the old Jim Kirk peck-n-punch! Or worse, his cock-n-sock!

Kirk brings the crew to a spot he visited before, but he expected paradise -- not a private little war! This is an uneven-but-fun episode to talk about, maman! We got G̶u̶m̶a̶t̶o̶, er, Mugato bites, a witch with a small, deadly box, wigs, Lisa Frank stickers on foreheads and a Vietnam redux, maman! It's a wild one!

They finally told an original story, maman -- or they started to before they were "inspired" by an episode of The Next Generation and did that instead. Alright, fine. It was the only part that actually worked.

Divert power to cliché, snarky one-liners, maman! Even in the face of death, and with no one listening, it's time to get in an old yuk-yuk! But ain't nobody laughing at the end, maman. It goes from tragic story to a tragic couple of missteps in franchise continuity! What are they doing, maman?

Yes, we watched it, maman. We saw "Four-and-a-Half Vulcans." Our tears are bitter, maman. Our souls are thin as to be wisped away by a wayward zephyr. We weep for our bodies are malnourished; our spirits are distressed. It is a dark age, maman. We require a bonfire of the inanities.

Beto’s been filming on the Enterprise for weeks, maman - and the fruit of his labor is “What is Starfleet?” There were other things to talk about, maman. Starfleet probably didn't declassify that ish, maman. We’re talking about Strange New Worlds 3x07 - “What is Starfleet?” as well as a little bit of news about who Paramount has put in charge of programming at Paramount +!

There’s a murderer on board, So Spock might pull the chord! You’ll hear Sarek say “My Wife! Attend!” while a Tellarite meets his end! A killer runs amok while Spock’s parents finger fuuh, oh -- uh, how about... D.C. Fontana brings more world-building to this intergalactic fable as we’re settling in for a Journey to Babel! It got dicey there for a minute, maman!
