High Republic Adventures (2022) issues 5-8 were written by Daniel José Older with the colour art by Michael Atiyeh, with issues 5 & 6 artwork by Harvey Tolibao and 7 & 8 by Toni Bruno. Issue 5 was released May 31st 2023, issue 8 was released June 28th 2023 and the trade paperback collection is due for release on December 5th 2023.

This comic delves into the origins of the Echo Stone, which leads into the Rods of Daybreak & Seasons. The story is set almost 500 years before the Skywalker Saga, with two new Jedi and some extra information about Azlin Rell.

High Republic Adventures: Quest Of The Jedi was written by Claudia Gray with artwork by Fico Ossio and colours by Sebastian Cheng & Candace Han. It was released April 26th 2023 and no confirmation of a trade paperback release at the time of recording.

THE GREAT HYPERSPACE CHASE IS UNDERWAY, AS A TRIO OF TEENAGERS TRY TO FIND A MYSTERIOUS PLANET! This ep is another High Republic review/overview and it’s the junior novel for Phase 2, Wave 2; Quest For Planet X by Tessa Gratton. In this sequel to Quest For The Hidden City, Rooper Nitani, Dass Leffbruk and Sky Graf all try to find Planet X, each for their own reasons. The trio are confronted with The Path Of The Open Hand, rival hyperspace families, a peculiar spacefaring compass and more!
In this episode, Mike provides information on where this book fits into the timeline before giving his spoiler-free thoughts. He then reads the crawl and gives some minor plot details & character info, along with his thoughts. He then gives a major spoiler warning and reads the blurb/publisher’s summary before giving his full thoughts on the whole book, it’s characters and the themes while giving an overview of the whole book’s plot and what it means for the future of The High Republic!

37 min - Yoda Series Vol 1 : Yoda & Dooku’s Relationship And Yoda’s Absence During The High Republic, Plus Dagobah & Coruscant (Yoda Volume 1: #1-6) – Ep 131
WHAT DID YODA DO BEFORE THE HIGH REPUBLIC AND HOW WAS HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH DOOKU BEFORE THE PHANTOM MENACE? For ep 131, Mike delves the first 6 issues, which contain 2 story arcs; the first set during the High Republic era where he goes to the planet Turrak to help Scalvi natives, while the second is set before The Phantom Menace, where Yoda asks Dooku to help train some initiates, but when a Wookiee has a vision about a Trandoshian initiate, tensions rise, especially with Yoda & Dooku’s conflicting views on such matters. Mike gives information on Dooku, Dagobah, Coruscant and more!
This episode was first released on the feed of Comics In Motion, in July 2023.
Yoda 1 was released Nov 23rd 2022, issue 6 was released April 19th 2023 and the trade paperback collection is due for release late 2023. Yoda issues 1-3 were written by Cavan Scott, with Nico Leon as artist and Dono Sanchéz-Almara as colour artist. Issues 4-6 were written by Jody Houser with artist Luke Ross and Nolan Woodard as colour artist.

This release was a subscriber/Patreon-exclusive book review, but Mike has now released it for everyone! it showcases the first canon book review in a while and Mike reviews two; Thrawn and Thrawn: Alliances, from Timothy Zahn's first canon Thrawn trilogy!
Mike talks about his experience listening to the audiobook for Thrawn in comparison to reading the comic book adaptation (as seen on ep 38 of Star Wars: Comics In Canon), before delving into the "main event"; Thrawn: Alliances. Mike gives his thoughts on the books as well as providing a plot overview for each.
Please note, this was not recorded in Mike's studio, so the quality is slightly worse than normal episodes of SWCIC and was originally released on Mike's Patreon!

He then gives a minor spoiler warning and gives more detailed thoughts along with reading the blurb/publishers summary, before giving a final spoiler warning and providing his thoughts on the whole book - at the end he gives an overview of the whole book’s plot and what it means for the future of The High Republic!
Cataclysm is written by Lydia Kang, was released April 4th 2023 and takes place in Wave 2 of Phase 2 in The High Republic (approx. 150 years before Phase 1); 382 BBY, and is a sequel to Convergence.
Phase 2 book reviews were released; Path Of Deceit on 7th Jan, Quest For Hidden City on February 14th, Convergence on March 18th and The Battle Of Jedha on April 22nd, with the first volume/wave of phase 2 comics being tacked in episode 126 (out May 13th 2023).
