This week features the 2nd (or 3rd) story-arc of Doctor Aphra comics called The Enormous Profit, where Aphra tries to sell the reactivated crystal of the ancient jedi Rur to a group of wealthy bidders at a special auction and unsurprisingly, things don’t go to plan, especially when Darth Vader shows up! The annual also gives more back story to the brutal wookiee bounty hunter; Black Krrsantan.
All comics this week were written by Kieron Gillen, with issues 9-13 pencilled by Kev Walker, inked by Marc Deering and coloured by Antonio Fabela, while Annual 1 had Marc Laming & Will Sliney as artists and Jordan Boyd as the colourist.
Make sure you check out episode 36 of SWCIC for the Screaming Citadel crossover (Aphra 7 & 8) and ep 34 for Aphra 1-6.
The last episode of SWCIC (episode 41), featured something a bit different; 5 comics showing 5 different Darth Vader stories, with artwork for each comic being by different people! In brief, the stories include; Vader as a savior on a unknown world, an imperial officer driven mad with fear, a woman hopelessly in love, a cocky rebel pilot, and a terrifying hallucinogenic trip, plus information on exogorths/space slugs (big worm from Empire Strikes Back!
